worked on it a tiny bit over the weekend. I think for simplicity's sake i'll just forget about the rear air dump chamber for the time being. maybe in the next one i can impliment it in a better way. So with that said I'll I really need to do is make mounting blocks that will hold the threads for the grip frame and noid manifold. once that is done it's time to foam it up, shape the cosmetics, and apply the final outer layer of carbon. then the moment of truth....!

ok, so i worked on this guy a bit today. unfortunetly for you guys it looks exaclty the same from the outside, but i did realize that i never showed my air passage divider reinforcement method. so here we go. basically, i drill down thru the carbon tube and the divider. I then slip a strand of carbon thru as shown here in the picture. I then apply epoxy to one side and pull it thru so the hole is filled with the resin and carbon. i then just lay the fiber down and epoxy it in place. once cured i pour eoxy doen the tube to make it air tight.

it's not much of an update...but hey, at least there is a picture!

Yay! pictures!

I'm starting to wonder about the weight... How much ligter do you think your marker will be when compared to a standard shocker?

of course i'm going to try shooting it! if I wanted a trophy for my shelf i could have cut corners a lot of places, and it would still look like a functioning marker.

I'm not too worried about the structural integrity of the body, i'm more worred that the epoxy joints will hold air tight, but rest assured that i'll at minimum be wareing safety glasses when I put air on it for the fitst time.

BTW I gota chance to work on it a bit more over the weekend. I got all the frame and noid maniold mounting blocks in place, so all I need now is the VA mounting block and i'm ready to start foaming it all.

BlackHammer, I'm not sure of the weight right now, but if you look back a ferw pages I posted some weights of the bodies pre air passage tubes. I'll be posting a wieght comparison once the body is finished.
