I haven't really thoroughly tested it, to be honest. The *idea* behind it was that it would reduce kick and decrease the volume of the shot chamber (like a top hat mod does; this does it in reverse) thereby increasing efficiency. It also changes the sound signature of the gun. I search out really good deals on the Matrix when I can, and I picked up a DM3 earlier this year with a full gold Evolve kit, Tadao 5, and this mod as well for $100 shipped. I didn't know what it was when I got it so I set it aside.

Now it's too cold to play so I can't really test it out.

It is a tophat mod and a bolt-stop mod in one. It takes up as much space as a evolve tophat, but angled where the shot-chamber air dumps into the bolt. It also takes the cut down bolt stop to new extremes which was supposed to help prevent shootdown at really high rof. Like all mods which decrease the shotchamber, and therefore increase operating pressure at the same FP, it will give a slightly louder shot. That said, the loudest matrix is still a whisper compared to many other markers on the field.
Also, it was supposed to have an o-ring between the two pieces to prevent them clanking together. One of mine needed to be milled a fraction on the boltstop part to keep the bolt tip clear from the feedtube.

The leethal mod part 1 was the bolt plug and half moon spacer. I cannot remember if or how the half moon spacer part did anything aside from look like a purple acid wash annoed piece, but the drilled out and milled down bolt plug idea was stolen from him and used as part of the evolve kit. It was supposed to provide more flow/reduce shootdown at high rof.

IMO, the leethal parts are very good.

To be fair, Lee Kirwan *did* invent and design what became the Matrix. Now if I could only track him down and talk to him.

This is not a b\s\t thread. Stuff posted is not necessarly for sale but for rediculous offers I may trade\sell. For example, I'll trade the ironman for a kapp flame trix.

you have the lethal mods, they are the black and purple acid wash parts the only part of the bolt kit that you are missing is the top hat the reason why is that pro paintball produced all of the lethal parts and most of the top hats that were mad by them were mis milled, truth be told the evolve bolt kit is based off lethal bolt kit, the guys at pro paintball used to have a receipt for a lethal kit sold to evolve headquarters, how do i know these things i was a long time customer of proffessional paintball and was there test monkey for all the new matrix stuff they made

I was pretty sure that the purple and black pieces were freeflow. Were they based off the leethal mod? And since the leethal mod connected the tophat, spacer and rear wall this doesn't make sense with the rear wall being seperate on the black and purple "freeflow" pieces...

Uh. The Leethal v1 mod was some sort of rear wall + back plug. The Leethal v2 mod is the red doohicky I showed above. The black and purple stuff come in:
-Back plug
-rear wall
-bolt stop/spacer
-Top hat

The Evolve 1.1 kit borrowed the Freeflow back plug there, but other than that I question your assertions.

edit- beaten :\

It's sunny and warm out today, maybe I should go shoot your F1 at trees. You know what you should do while it's too cold to play is get me the pictures we still don't have for this article how about that. That or guilt trip Ethan more, he has not responded to my Haikus yet.

Uhh, I worked at professional paintball for 2 years and you have no idea what you are talking about. Evolve borrowed the Free flow bolt delay method. Along with a few of the lethal mods (ie, Bolt plug, spacer, real wall) and sold it as a complete bolt.
The purple and black acid wash lethal parts were sold/manufactured by Professional Paintball (Free Flow) with the permission from the 2 guys who created Lethal.

"edit- beaten :\"

Sonicdave- I was the guy who taped the receipt on the wall for 1 FF matrix bolt ordered from Evolve!
