No the dimensions are different so they wouldn't work.

I just got the LP kit in. Before I change out the piston I just wanted to ask you what lube you guys recommend for lubing the piston oring? I checked the manual and it does'nt list anything. I have both Dow 33 and 55. Thanks!

Hi.
I Just bought a CP shorty regulator and was wondering how many shots does it take until the regulator breaks in to get maximum efficiency/consistancy. Or is it good to go already how it is.
~Thanks

It will be good to go as is, when you start noticing a big change in consistency is when you will need to replace/rebuild the reg but that won't be for a while.

CP Long Reg
My CP long gauge has a crazy leak from the macro fitting, I have re sealed the fitting many times and tried different pieces of line and nothing. It still leaks, and the reg also seems to have a slow climb, I have cleaned and lubed it but havent rebuilt it, could that be why it has a slow climb? and would I need to completely replace the macro fitting?

This past weekend i had a leak from the fill nipple. Turned out the o ring needed to be replaced. I did that and aired it up no prob. Screwed the tank into the asa, aired it up and it started off as a slow leak. Turned off the asa and the leak continued. Unscrewed the tank out of the asa and the leak continued. I checked the pin and it was still pressed in leaking air. I took a small allen key and tried to depress it and it just went further in. I let the tank empty out and filled it up with a little bit of air to see if the pin would reset itself. The pin still stayed in. Its almost as if there is not tension on it at all. help please!

Sounds like you need to replace the macro fitting entirely, as for the rest of the reg you man just need some new orings, if you pm me your address I can send them off for you.

Most likely you have the older brass pin valve. We noticed this was a common problem and we replace them as we they come in. If you'd like to send me your tank I can put the new parts on it as well as rebuild it. If not I can send you a new valve pin if your comfortable replacing yourself.

Hello. I think i might be having a problem with my reg. So i finished playing yesterday and unscrewed my tank. As i was doing so all the air came out of the tank. I think it might be a stuck pin in the reg but im not sure. Can you tell me what it might be and what i can do to fix it? Thank You.

Correct you have a stuck pin valve, you may have the older brass pin valve and will need to have it replaced.
I'll PM the contact information as I have chosen to leave my employment with CP and won't be able to help much further.

Sorry to inform everyone but I am no longer able help with customer service for CP as I have chosen to leave the company. If you have any further questions please feel free to email CP with any questions you may have (randy@mesacustom.com). You will still receive the same lifetime, high quality customer service. You can still feel free to contact me as I still have friends there and I will do what I can to help out.
