Transformer,
Sorry if this has already been discussed, but I have a quick question regarding switching from HP to LP with the CP tank regs. Looking at the CP site and other sites that sell the CP tank reg pressure kits, it looks to contain just a piston and a lock ring. If I'm wanting to go from HP to LP, would the LP kit be everything I need to get the job done, or am I missing something?

Thanks!

No your not missing anything, that is all you would need. The piston is what is going to make it either HP or LP and the lock ring allows you to determine what pressure the tank is from the outside (black being LP and silver being HP).

Where is it leaking from, and does it leak when it just sits and has air?

Thank you for the quick response!
So just the piston alone, no need to remove shims or anything like a ninja?

Sounds like an o-ring may need replacing. If you want to send it in not a problem I can go through it and replace any parts that need it.

Correct the springs (shims) will be stacked in the same order and positioning the design in the piston is what changes it from HP to LP, and the lock ring while it holds the bonnet on, as I stated before also helps in identifying the pressure

I have a 48/45 LP DXS tank. I would like to install a HP CP reg in it when I rehydro. Is it ok to go from a LP reg to a HP reg and will a CP reg fit?

Yes it's ok to go from LP to HP and yes it will fit on the tank. Before airing up your marker however make sure you turn the velocity down on the IL reg and adjust properly for the output pressure so as not to blow any o-rings in your marker.

I just bought a guys gear bag and aquired a CP tank. No where on the tank does it list whether it is 3k or 4.5k, im thinking becuase it wasnt intended for USA use maybe. Here is a picture of it. Could you tell me what pressure tank it is?

It is a 4500 PSI tank, but you are correct, it is not intended for the USA, it is intended for use in Europe, Russia, and Asia area.

I have Gen 1 Internals with a Gen 2 bottom it seems (bought the reg used) as it has a spring not washers but has the V cuts. My issue is that I cant get it to regulate, I cleaned it following the manual on the site, and it just out puts at 900 PSI which is the output of the tank. The only piece that isnt explained is the little metal disk. I have it sitting under the ball right now as I thought that was where it fell from. I hopefully can have this issue fixed by tomorrow as I need it.

All help appreciated!
Mike

Both Gen 1 and Gen 2 uses what your referring to as washer's if you have a spring instead of the washers you may have one of the Chinese knock off's. They are out there and they try to be passed off as ours, they look virtually identical however on the top of the reg if you don't have the cut outs for a CP jewel chances are it's a knock off. Send me pictures and I can tell you.
