playing is playing, there really is no right or wrong way to play paintball (aside from the wrong way of cheating or unsafe play)you do what makes you happy and what your comfortable doing, the more you play/practice the better you will get..
as far as choosing the right marker, thats kinda easy.. you have to decide what you are looking for. look past all the negative reviews and positive reviews and test for your self..
how it feels in your hand,is it comfortable?
what is your budget , are there several options to test that fit that?
what do your choices come with, xx amount of mags, extras, ect?
how hard is it to clean/maintain the marker and are you able to fully break it down yourself?
see if there is someone at the local field you can talk to about their marker, possibly ask if they will let you run with it a game (offer to buy a few co2 cartridges or give them some extra paint for their time..
as tempting as it may be to just jump any bandwagon with the fan boys (trust me every brand has them, Im a Tiberius guy myself, but that came from actual research on gear before buying it) or to jump on a good deal but always do your home work before buying anything so that way you know in the end you will truely be happy with your choice
