So i doubt ill be able to make the ncpa team, but as a hypothetical question what would be your thoughts on gear requirements if any? I know a bunch teams are shooting high end gear, but what are your thoughts on that?

As for gear, there are no real requirement of any until we pursue a sponsorship from a large company.

I've just been so busy with finals right now that I haven't been able to work on getting the club up and everything.

I will have a website up with a forum board etc by the end of next week (I go home on the 15th)

as for the NCPA team, it'll be created right off the bat (Tournament players wise) and we'll signup for the NCPA tournaments come Fall of 2010. As for funding etc. I am working on redoing the CU-Parents Association portfolio and will most likely have all members of the club (I mean all students) pay a $20 fee per semester to join so that it can cover fees for tourney entrances and paint.

As for jersey's I'll get a couple designs out and we'll most likely go through Animal Warehouse to get them made and this will be out of pocket for the cost of the jersey.

I'll have more information about whats in my head on Monday after my last final.

edit: I just re-read what you posted and now understand your question haha.

As for gear for playing on the NCPA team/practicing or working with us will have no real requirements for gear, as long as you prefer the gun you are shooting and it can keep up with the game play, I have nothing against it, we all started somewhere. I would say that I would avoid e-spyders etc. but i have nothing against an ion on the field. I guess the main minimum is that it can NOT be a CO2 marker and as for a hopper, no less than an egg2 if anyone remembers those haha

we already have a student group regitered with the school that i guess im in charge of this year, so if you have any questions let me know, as for NCPA, we get one travel per semester funded for a tourney, but lat year the closest one was in oklahoma so it was the only one we did.

if you have questions contact me (will armijo) or daniel camp on facebook

Don't quote me on this, but I believe that the CU-C.Springs campus has a seperate club that is not part of the Boulder club. The CU-Boulder team is specifically rostered with NCPA.

Website (Still under construction, was just getting the layout done)

http://www.wix.com/jinsanlee/cu-pb

I will buy a domain later and the url will be changed to http://www.cupaintball.com

What do you guys think, this is the logo that I'm thinking we should use on the jersey.

It's already been started, and I'm pushing this hard as we are re-establishing the club and I was placed on the officers list at the school by the previous president

I'm also pushing this hard because I'm the main one taking the initiative to get it back up and running.

Enough with the 20 questions from people who have no interest in joining this team. Let these guys do their thing without giving them ****. I'm sure there's a lot of details none of us know about except for the guys putting this together.

G'luck you guys. If I hadn't graduated 50 years ago, I'd be right in line with you all. Shoulder-to-shoulder... Never forget that! GO BUFFS!

yeah I'm a freshmen this year and I don't know anything about that, and in pure honesty for a freshly new made team, the rules usually state that the TEAM has not play'd in any other division to qualify for rookie, not the individual players. Also, you have to keep in mind that Blitz sponsored the club last year and held the events, therefore it might have been the sponsor that recommended the team by in rookie division.

Unless you have hard proof that the team was "sandbagging" I politely request that you keep out of this thread, with your rude remarks.

Thanks.

just a rule clarification...it does matter about the players. if they have played open or d3+ in the past, they have to play rookie.

unless a special exception is made because they suck really really really bad

Good to know, the rules here in WA for division in the tournaments here are a tad bit different.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude although it was rude. But I think most would agree that the old CU team was sandbagging. They had a bunch of players that had been playing for 3+ years. And yes, as Whitey said, any player that has 2 years of experience cannot play rookie, or if they have played open or D3, they can't play rookie. It has nothing to do with how long the whole team has been playing together. Sorry again for the rude comment.

if you could get it so that people at cu denver can play i would transfer there just to play, i can see the sport gaining much popularity if we can get it to be a noticeable sport.
