lolprobowl

This is exactly why the probowl is a complete joke, and I laugh when people try to use the probowl as a legit way to measure a player.

Look at the NFC
http://www.nfl.com/probowl/story?id=...s&confirm=true

I think literally every Viking starter is going to the probowl... Most leading in voting. Is there really nothing else to do in Minnesota besides fill out probowl ballots?

I dont have too much of an issue with the players on offense, as of right now. But defense is a popularity contest....I dont think James Harrison should be above Dumervil, and I dont think Polamalu or Reed should be on there either. Jairius Byrd should be there ahead of both of them, and Asante Samuel should be replaced by Woodson. Im surprised Bob Sanders wasnt voted into the AFC SS spot.....:semidodgy:

I'm not a vikings fan but i voted for quite a few vikings players. I don't think that it's all Minnesota people voting them in.

I have an issue with using the pro bowl as a HOF criteria.

No it won't. Colts will lose to either Chargers or Patriots in the playoffs. It has happened that way since what, 2001?

That's what I meant, ever since after that win, they have lost to either of those teams in the playoffs.

Of course. But either way, when they aren't going to the superbowl, it's Chargers or Pats. And I'm leaning towards Chargers, for obvious reason.

The Pats....did you watch Monday Night? That game was a joke and proved that the Pats aren't the team that they once were.

Dan Pees said it himself, the defense isn't what it used to be and if the Pats get to the SB against the Saints or the Vikes, that secondary is going to get torched again.

I'd love to see 18-0 super bowl matchup, but I think one or both will probably end up with a regular season loss after they sew up home field. I could definitely see the Chargers beating the Colts in the playoffs, they seem to have their number lately. Not the Pats though

I've always found it a bit ridiculous that Pro Bowl voting starts so early in the season. I'd say wait until Week 8 to start it, but then again we'd probably still see the same favoritism and popularity contests. A lot NFL fans don't understand that stats count in order to be an all star, a name doesn't mean anything.

I do too. If your going to do that, dont let fans vote players to the Pro Bowl. Although, fans vote only counts for 1/3 of the votes, while the other 2/3s is players and coaches and the like. So while I do have an issue with it, its not as big as it may seem to be. (thats what she said).

lolwut? The Pats? Have you watched football this year? A team that has yet to win a road game (sorry, London wasnt exactly a "home" game for the Bucs) and has lost to the 3 quality opponents its faced is supposed to get to and win the Superbowl? They're a 6-5 team in disguise as the Bills had them snuffed in week 1. They struggled to beat the ****ing Bills for godsakes. As for the Chargers, they get hot as the year goes on but as soon as the playoffs roll around Norv will **** it up while LT strains his vage for what will probably be the last time in Whales Vagina. Neither of those teams will make it aat this point. Frankly I dont think they can beat Indy, Cinci, or Pittsburgh if they get in. And if theres a Denver/San Diego rematch in January, the Broncos are going to win.

It does start in week 8. I think week 10 would be a good spot to open the voting but then again, you gotta give the voters time to get their votes in and you have guys who will taper off a tad in the 2nd half and surge in the 2nd half that may not be as deserving as someone who just consistently puts in work. I think the system is OK the way it is now and besides, if the Vikes reach the Superbowl, none of those guys will be playing in the Superbowl anyway.

No way. It's gonna be the Who Dats vs the Who Deys.

Last year, the Redskins were leading in almost every position in fan voting for the probowl. I think 3 of them made it.
