That's good, I wouldn't want you to hide in your shell. If you didn't stay around, admit you were wrong, and continue to voice your opinion I would be sad.

The saints really impressed me this game. However, I was hoping that they wouldn't put the breaks on. I really wanted to see the Patriots get the score ran up on them like they do to everyone else.

If it was Manning and the Colts, it wouldn't have been out of hand. The Colts have scored 3 TD's in 2:10 before. The Pats had over 5 minutes on the clock when they took Brady, Moss, Welker and whoever else out.

It shows zero confidence in your team when you take all of your starters out before the game is over. Another show of poor sportsmanship. Like a little kid, Bellichik took his toys (players) and went home.

Have you listened to the press conference? ***!!!!!!

That is all.

Really? Thats funny, because I dont think I've ever seen the Patriots do that before when they were on the other end.......frankly I wish the Saints had taken a few shots at the endzone just to hang 40 on them and rub it in.

It's always necessary to run the score up on the Pats. What's wrong with you?

Who did the Colts score those 3 TDs on before? Brady threw 2 interceptions and couldn't move the ball effectively second half. I'm not saying its impossible, but it is highly improbable and would require the defense that couldn't stop anything all night to get at least one 3 and out.

Lets be serious here, the Pats team is far from lacking in confidence, even with this outcome. I'm sure their psyches will be undamaged.

You don't watch the Pats very often if you've never seen them do it. They wait for a larger differential when they are ahead, but they still pull him.

You are right Joe; they would have deserved the extra points, they played like garbage. Differential should have been more, I agree with you. I've never had a problem with a team running the score up on the Pats if they play that poorly, and tonight they did.

The 3 TD's in 2:10 was against the Texans last year.

And as far as the Pats "team" lacking confidence, I have no doubt that the "players" are confident in their game and abilities, but obviously Bellichik wasn't as confident of a favorable outcome, so he took them out. Bellichik simply didn't think they could get it done, no matter the reason.

These are professionals. They all get paid to do this. At least give them a full 60 minutes to see what the outcome is. This game was basically a 54:?? version of a "real" NFL game where coaches don't "throw in the towel" or pick up their marbles and go home because everything isn't going their way.

Classless, simple as that!

I was actually curious about who they got those TDs against, thanks.

You could consider it like knocking your king over in chess, effectively conceding the victory to the opponent knowing they almost have you in checkmate, and you will not win. The simply outplayed you and no bull**** is going to change the outcome.

What I don't understand is this - why is it that when the Patriots are behind, you all say "oh! play the full 60 minutes! they all get paid to do this!", etc., but when they are up points you want them to effectively stop playing their style game?

I find it sooooooooooooo ****ing funny Patriots fans defending Billy Boy for pulling Brady instead of leaving him in. What, you can leave him in when your up by 35 points but you wont leave him in trailing by 21? Oh the hypocrisy.

For the record, I've never once said they shouldn't play until the end no matter how many points are on the board, for them or the opponent. That must be some of the other guys in here.

Whether they are winning by 40 or losing by 30, keep them on the field although I do understand taking the starters out when you are way ahead.

It makes much more sense to take them out then. Why not go for the come from behind win though?

I mean, if thats the case, I guess the Colts should be what, 8-3 this year at best?

Joe, I respect your opinion here, regardless of your blatant hatred for everything Patriots - there is one thing I'd like to point out. The only thing I've really ever said is let the coaches determine what their team needs. Could Brady/Belichick just been douches at the end of this game and thumbed their nose, sitting down for the end? Its possible. My point is that there are actually reasons to take your starter out at the end of the game, or leave him in at the end. Doesn't mean those are the reasons they were pulled IRL.

Are the Pats douchebags sometimes up points? Hell yes. Do they deserve to get the score run up on them? Hell yes. Do I really care? No, not really. They lost to a superior team today, and looked like dog**** doing it. Brady staying out there would have done nothing since the Saints weren't giving him an inch. There are (as retarded as it sounds) reasons for an offense to stay out when up points, especially when your QB was just getting back into a groove (Titans game).

I love come-from-behind wins. I get disappointed when a team pulls the plug at the end of the game. That doesn't mean, as I pointed out about, that there can't be a valid reason, regardless of the decision's popularity.

No they gave up. Haven't ever seen the Saints pull out there starting qb when they were losing. And the Saints have done a whole lot of loosing in their club threw-out the years.

The pats have lost 4 road games, they aren't the same team they were a few years back. It was a terrible game for them, and watching their three star players sit the last 5 minutes of the game was just the Icing on the cake for this LONG Time Saints FAN!

WHO DAT!!
