I have enforced it a couple of times. The main one I remember was someone wanting to wear bright orange shoes the same color as the paint.

8.16 - Any player/team found to be wearing clothing that may impede the refs ability to make a proper call may be asked to remove such clothing. Such example will be the color of a players clothing matching the color of the event paint. Event paint color will vary at each event depending on availability and quality of the paint. The color and brand of the paint will not be disclosed to the players prior to the event.

If the fill of the paint is pink you will be asked to not use it. So I would go ahead and have a replacement ready.

what if you could get kee to commit to like 2 or 3 colors of fill. say green, orange, and pink. then you could ban those colors all together and never have to worry about it. that way everyone would just stay away from those 2 or 3 colors.
not that my .02 matters

We were rockin burnt orange jersey's all season. There wasn't ever any issue's w/ paint blending with the pigment of the jersey. Hopefully this won't become an isssue. They're sweet f'n jerseys....

Fill color all depends on what is in stock, fresh and is the best formula for the temp that weekend.
If we used a set color it would be easier for someone to try to use non event paint.
If we said we are only using say Orange Allstar and premium and it all happens to be brittle shell in stock and we get caught by a cold front that weekend you guys would be shooting soup. I would rather hear teams whine a little about protected colors then have an event with bad paint.

Not every paint or certain color may be available or right for the predicted weather conditions at the time of the event.
