Hey guys it does really work. It does have a yearly fee of $39.99 but you will save tons of money on new equipment. The guys who run it are trying o help paintball not scam it they are good guys. Even if you don't pay its a good site for networking with other pballers and its got a brand spanking new virgin forum waiting for posts.

exactly.
as far as any of us can tell the only thing this website does is take your 'resume' (which they never mention needs to be impressive whatsoever) and send it to companies who have a sponsorship division.
So for $40 per year you get some shady website to email a likely inadequate resume to whatever companies they find? Without any promise of success in obtaining a sponsorship agreement?

So really they're trying to capitalize on the fact that some less experienced, naive players think they can get sponsored for doing nearly nothing and get great deals on their gear?
Bigggg for the integrity of our sport as a whole.

Well thanks for the warm welcome guys...

To answer your baseless claims of being "Shady", we opened this up to ALL paintball players, which includes woodsballers, tactical, speedballers, scenerio, and so forth. There is nothing sly or shading going on here at all. We are giving the players the forum to post their profiles. It is completely up to them on what they put in there. They can put up pics and videos, results, current equipment, and so on. They can send their profile to as many sponsors they choose, simply at the click of a button. When they get an offer, the player decides if they want to take it or not. If it is worth taking, take it. No one is forcing anyone to pay. And no one is pay for any unforeseen possibilities. They get a good offer, they pay. Oh and after that point, the remaining sponsorship offers are free. The $40 is a drop in the bucket compared to what you get in the sponsorships. The companies control the offers, we have nothing to do with the offers.

As far as less experienced players, why can't a person with less experience have the same opportunities??? If they have the desire to get sponsored and fit the sponsors profile, then they deserve a shot.

Again, a player has nothing to lose by signing up. That part is free. Try it out, you really have nothing to lose.

I'm not quite so sure how you think the fact that your website is "open to all players" constitutes it's legitimacy, but alas, this is nothing more than a mere trivial matter. Furthermore, I take great offense to your attack on the validity of my (and others') statements upon the 'shadiness' of your website as being baseless. If your website truly is a legitimate outlet for helping players gain access to sponsorship opportunities, I'd like to see some hard evidence of an average paintball player using your website and obtaining a sponsorship agreement. Until you provide such evidence, your claims of validity are quite shadier than my 'baseless' opinion of your company.

What I'm most concerned with is the fact that you completely overlook the fact that a sponsorship is a business agreement. You don't get sponsored just for playing paintball at your local field once a month, there are certain conditions that both parties must fulfill. Yet, you make it seem as though anyone who signs up for your website will have offers flowing in.

(In reference to the portion of your post I've bolded) You completely contradict yourself in this statement. You say that no one is forcing anyone to pay; yet you further imply that if a player receives a sponsorship offer he or she would like to accept, the aforementioned player must pay your website fees? Maybe I'm misunderstanding your post (perhaps due to your grammatical skills, or lack thereof), but from what I can gather, you withold sponsorship offers until your fees have been paid. If I'm wrong in this aspect and there is merely a misunderstanding then I believe your website holds great potential.

I'm not trying to undermine your opportunities for starting a business here, however I for one think you need to review some of the issues myself and others have previously mentioned.

Please help me out here, Why should I pay your company $40, so I can give you a resume and your company emails it to a Manufacturer? Why would I not save the $40 and do it myself?

You don`t. You pay if a contract is signed, otherwise it`s free. Atleast that is how I understand this part.

PBSponsor is FREE to sign up , build a resume and profile. You can then submit your resume to the paintball company of your choice for free. If you land a sponsorship deal, it then costs only a $39.99 service fee for the year to finalize their contracts, UNLIMITED SPONSORS. People can save thousands of dollars a year if used effectively.“Our model helps paint ballers find out if they have what it takes to get a sponsorship deal before they pay.” says Jamie. “Players don’t have to pay if PBSponsor.com doesn’t work for them.”

Yes I read that too, but why should I give money to a Company to do something that is easily done by myself? Not to mention if you are trying to get a sponsorship I would think it be better for you to do it yourself rather than through a third party.

I definitely agree. However, I don`t think this is aimed at the higher ranked players at all. Who knows, their database might include alot of the larger fields/stores, and be able to help people get sponsorship there? I mean, if you are trying to get a Dye/Proto sponsorship, this is not the way to go

So is it the hope that younger, inexperienced players will use the site, get sponsorships through Redz and have to spend $40? If that is the case than it it simply preying on people that do not know any better.

It is, it's preying on the noobs that haven't had the sense knocked into them that...
1. Redz is not a sponsorship
2. You have to work to get sponsored.
3. You have to win to get a good sponsorship.
4. Companies don't want to sponsor your group of friends.

*Yes there are special cases

You are exactly correct. The 39.99 membership fee, which is good for a full year, is only paid when you ACCEPT your first sponsorship offer. Also, most, if not all of the sponsorship offers will display exactly what the savings to the paintballer will be.

We completely understand and expect some skepticism as this is a new concept in the paintball industry. We also realize this is not for everyone.

Happy Paintballing,
