That you should capitalize on the opportunity to screw UGA by being an SEC referee if possible?

Dick Burleson is also a tech grad.

Maybe graduating from Ga Tech should be an automatic disqualifier from reffing football games.

I just don't understand how the SEC can allow someone who has been paid to speak at bama booster functions can be allowed anywhere near an Alabama game in any official capacity.

and just to clear it up this guy wasn't the replay official.
He's the guy in the booth that grades the replay official on his performance and is allowed to "give advice" if needed on replays.

Thanks SEC!
Don't believe what you read on Tiger Droppings.

Paul Finebaum discussed it on his show the monday after the game and Burleson's website confirms everything that was said about him.

What is there not to believe? What have I written here that is false?

You're acting like a Barner.

The SEC West belongs to Tuscaloosa. The Southeastern Conference belongs to Birmingham. A new era is upon us. Just embrace your Crimson overlords and everything will be much better.

Seriously though, if you can't see the conflict of interest and absolute bull**** it is that Burleson was in the booth as an SEC official you are seriously going full retard.

Because the Alabama booster group pays him.

Bottom line the dude is connected to Alabama. He's connected to the program. He shouldn't be allowed anywhere near an alabama football game as an SEC official.

So, a Georgia Tech grad and a Major General in the United States Army is in the replay booth and because he has been paid to speak at Alabama functions, he's somehow connected to the program and this is how LSU got robbed?

You realize that he just doesn't speak at Alabama, right?

He's a member of the National Speaker Association and bestselling author and is one of the most requested public speakers in the South.

I can read his website, thanks though.

And i never said this is what cost us the game, it's just hilarious that someone who has been paid money by members of a university booster organization is allowed to officiate games in which a team who's booster club has paid them in the past is playing.

How can you honestly not see a conflict of interest in this situation?

And did I say that he was in the replay booth BECAUSE he has been on the bama boosters payroll? Again. No. It's just interesting that one of the biggest blown calls in a while comes with this guy being in the replay booth.

Alabama is not the only SEC booster organization that has paid him to speak. He's a very respected and requested speaker. That pretty much destroys the whole "conflict of interest." He has no ties to the University of Alabama.
