Broken Havoc.

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem I have. I have a Rifle mount Havoc launcher with breech load. I've noticed that on the grip of the launcher where the barrel meets with the safety switch, the metal is so thin that it's now broken. I'm assuming this is from slaming the breech loader closed after loading the rocket.

Anyone else ever encounter this?

Just to clarify: Is the broken part on the breech loading adapter or near the push-button safety above the trigger? If it's on the breach adapter, is it on the spring-loaded part or on the barrel part? Also, a pic would help greatly.

It's along the push button safety where the metal is real thin on the top and bottom of the opening. I'd take some pictures but I just moved and have no idea where my camera is. I'll try some cell pictures tomorrow.

I know exactly what your saying Adam....Looking at my Havoc and having been a machinist for many years , I can say for certain this is a weak point in the design and will break from metal fatigue with constant fast slamming the breach load closed over time....Ive seen many players flip the barrel up fast with one hand to engage the latch on the breach and theirs will probably crack at the trigger safety over time with fatigue also......Aluminum is very unforgiving and cracks fairly easily when machined at such thin tolerances......Metadyne may need to look into a way to strengthen this area or maybe use a smaller diameter trigger safety......If they dont , then you may not want to slam the breach closed anymore when you do get a new trigger housing.

Went to look at mine and wow the aluminum around the safety might be 0.5mm thick. Definite weak point on the durability.

Wonder if I can just plug-weld the hole?

Metadyne gives a lifetime warranty on their products, let them know your problem. We had a problem with ours, called them up, we got our replacement part within a couple of days, top notch customer service

UPDATE!! So I did contact metadyne industries and explained my problem with the Havoc. Ther person I was contacting through email said it was the first case like this that they've ever encountered, but they would be replacing the part. So i sent them my address for a replacement part and waited. This was back mid November. So A month rolls by and no part, I email them back mid December and no reply. Fast foreward Mid January. I emailed them last week and still no reply to my emails and no part shipped to my house. Very disapointing, does anyone have a connection or know someone at Metadyne Industries? I really like their product, but am really disapointed by their customer service.
