Question About Paint

I wanna know what balls would be good to shoot and intimadator with. I have a freak barrel and a infamous board and im switch to a virtue board soon. I match the balls and the barrel but sometimes when im firing at a high rate it breaks a few balls. Also i lower the velocity and it slow down the breakage.

Never match paint to bore. But since you are getting breaks by matching, you probably won't get any better luck underboring so you should try overboring.

honestly though, if it only happens during high rates of fire, it's probably the gun/hopper, not the barrel/paint.

Yea I was getting a lot of breaks through my .682 this weekend, but I was shooting Diablo Heat in cold weather. It's not the fact that I was underboring, it's the fact that the paint was ****ty and brittle (it broke on the first drop when I did the bounce test) and it was super cold out. When I switched to overboring it, it didn't break, but it went anywhere but straight (dimples all over the damn things). Finally I switched to .685 (still underboring but not by as much) and it shot great. I think the optimum underbore is around .002 smaller than the paint, for really super brittle paint at least.

You need a hopper with little to no stack tension when using cold and brittle paint. It also helps to lower your LPR as much as possible and increase your BIP setting a bit. Higher dwell and lower operating pressure may also help
