What tournament are you playing that you can't fill up your tank... and if you were talking about 8-9 pods and a hopper a game then just.......
Edit: For a actual answer. I always fill my tank up around 1500 but I usually 3 bags before I fill it.

Recent tournament was lucky and unlucky, in that I did not need more than 5 pods plus hopper.
Blue/no spacers
5 pods, one hopper (rotor)
68/45 from 4,500 psi to 3,000 psi

No spacers
On a 45/45 fill to about 4100 I get roughly 1 rotor and 7 maybe 8 pods

Really muddy field (been raining for 2 weeks) and did not make the run to the corner a couple times. I usually run to the corner and control tape to allow my snake to insert deep early.
The remainder of games I shot 5 pods reliably, in addition to the hopper. As a result, even if I do not get a full fill between games, I will be able to shoot my 7 pods, or stay on the field longer durng practice/drills.

Haha I was just buggin I'm a big fan of efficiency too. Not because I need to shoot 12 pods a game but because i need to shoot 4 pods and a hopper on 2000psi at times.

I used the blue flow kit and all spacers today. It was 68 degrees outside and unfortunately I didn't have a device to measure tank temperature. I have a 68/45 Ninja that was filled and after cooling off dropped to about 4200. I was shooting Draxxus Triumph which was just beginning to catch on my .683 barrel sizer so I used a .679 barrel back on a carbon fiber mofo kit. The mofo kit has rifling and is a 14 inch barrel with 2x porting after 12 inches. So...With the blue flow kit and all spacers I shot 1663 balls exactly from my NT before shots began to drop off. I was still able to shoot somewhat from that point, but of course not as effective so I ended the test here. Any questions let me know!
Edit***
NT is also still somewhat new of course. I don't believe the reg has been "broken in" yet...So...I plan on doing another test in spring after it has been shot considerably.

Found this somewher
1. Super smooth – lowest recoil, quiet, shoot the most fragile paint
a. Green bolt tip insert, no spacer insert
b. Operating pressure aprox 110psi
c. Efficiency: 1200-1300 shots off 68/4500 tank
2. Stock settings from factory – balance of all performance features
a. Red bolt tip insert, no spacer insert
b. Operating pressure aprox 120psi
c. Efficiency: aprox 1400 shots off 68/4500 tank
3. Efficiency one – better efficiency, still well balanced performance
a. Red bolt tip insert, green spacer insert
b. Operating pressure aprox 130psi
c. Efficiency: aprox 1500 shots off 68/4500 tank (
4. Efficiency two – ultimate spool valve efficiency
a. Red, or blue bolt tip insert, yellow spacer insert
b. Operating pressure aprox 140psi
c. Efficiency: 1600-1700 shots off 68/4500 tank
