NT Updates
NEW CHANGE ADDED!!!! See number 4.
I just want to make sure everyone is clear on the updates made to the NT. There have been 3 running changes:
1) Notch cut in the airport. In the newer airports, this un-anodized area will be anodized.
2) Notch cut into front bumper on the piston. This can be easily done yourself, or you can call Dye and we'll send you one!
3) Stronger return spring. Unfortunately you cannot tell the difference between the two springs by looking at them. If you are having chopping issues with your NT and you have the updated piston bumper and airport, you may need to call us for a new spring.
4) Eye pipe. If you HAVE NOT received a new eye pipe from Dye, chances are you have one that is approximately 6 thousandths of an inch undersized on both sides. This is causing guns with new springs and bumpers to still break paint. Please call us immediately with your NT serial number so we can get this new eye pipe to you!

They are not necessary in all markers. Some of the markers work just fine without these parts. I suppose the same can be said for the airports if you're using a Throttle or PMI air system (these are what we used when testing the airports). |

Is it true that if there is a orange o-ring in the eye pipe it will swell and cause the marker to chop ? Cause I have a orange one shouid I change it ? If yes what size do I use.

There is an orange o-ring on the eye pipe, but it will not cause chopping. If you are experiencing chops it is probably due to one of the above issues. |

Yes. The yellow seal you see in the photo is indeed an o-ring.

We use a Dremel tool with a cutting wheel. However, an Exacto knife will also work if you don't have a Dremel tool with cutting wheel. The Exacto knife method can be difficult and somewhat dangerous because of the size of bumper and the size of the cut you are making... So use caution if you decide to use this method. If you do the notch yourself, I recommend using the Dremel with cutting wheel. The notch just has to be big enough to let air escape while the bumper movies back and forth. |

So I called last week, they said I had to send in my UL airport to get the replacement. I decided to hold off on sending it in. Now I find out that some people had new ones sent without having to send back the original.
So I asked for the new spring and a notched bumber to be sent out. Yesterday I received a package that had only a spring.
Seems like pretty inconsistent treatment.

We do not have any UL airports in stock. You'll have to send yours in to get machined, unfortunately. If you want to send it in, call 858-536-5183 first to get an ra#.
