Reducing Kick

Hey, can anyone tell me how to reduce the kick in the omen, now that i got to play some games with my omen, its very accurate and consistent as hell, and i definently tag my share of peeps, but the kick is pretty hardcore.

If i can't find some way to reduce it, i think my omen will be up for sale, and i think i might just get a matrix cause i'm gonna be playing a huge tournement series.

I dont have any kick. None more than any other gun. Maybe your recock is a little too high.

K what do you mean by other guns

and i set my recock just slightly higher(not even 1/8 of a turn) then where it starts to recock consistently, unless the adjustment on the recock is extremely extremely sensitive, i'm pretty sure its set as low as it could go.

By the way i set my recock everyday befor i play, i could locktite it but it works for me to just tune it once and awhile

Phantom ur omen must be awesome. You can see that every omen has kick in the pdp chip video It looks like its going to wiggle out of his hands.

i just dont pay attention to it then. compared to my model 98, and minimag its definatley lighter. but then i cant tell the difference between my old cocker, my bro's cocker, my phantom, and the omen they dont, seem too different just hold it better or sumfin, its not likes it a shotgun, now those got kick. lol

The kick is due to two things. First of all, every guns has recoil aka kick as a result of the air being expelled from the front. You'll learn the whole "every action has a reaction" thing in physics. Like many other guns, the omen's hammer movement causes some kick as well. You can minimize this by polishing the internals and keeping them well lubed. I personally don't think the omen has a lot of kick, but I work out.

Well it's not like shooting a Timmy...you don't feel like your shooting a flashlight.

But the kick is very livable imo.

Please don't use my video as an example of the kick, the recock was too high because I was playing around with it and I made no effort to steady the gun, it was just to show ROF. When its tuned right it has much less kick then Low Pressure Piranha, I normally shoot an Impulse (ya I know sorry), and it has about the same or maybe even less then it.
I did notice that even a 1/4 turn more recock then needed can result in a fair amount of added recoil.

who is sellng it? me? I'm just saying the kick gets on my nerves in a game when i'm not thinking about holding onto the gun and it moves around a lil.
Oh and sry about using ur vid for an example chris, i thought that that kick mite be a lil extreme. So, to me, the omens kick isn't that bad, but it can get annoying

pff I had a feeling i would hear sissy, your calling me a sissy? 17, 260lbs. 6foot 4inches.

Besides its not a question if your strong enough or not, you guys must be stocking little boys with M98s through the woods, cause when you play tourney(well when i do anyway) i barely hold my gun specialy when i'm shooting left handed.

I really noticed the kick when I was sweet spotting a bunker right in front of my front man, and noticed i had to compensate for the kick and if I over compensated I woulda shot him in the back of the head.

Since i got mostly advice like work out, or your a sissy, forget it, Matrix it is, i doubt any of u would play a huge, important tournement with your Omen anyway, I doubt we'll see anyone using omens at WC.

"stocking little boys with M98s through the woods"

lol. ho would use an Omen in the woods? as a matter of fact, i've played in 3 tournies so far. 2 with my Omen, one with my A-5. if you can't handle the kick buy a different gun

My Omen was used in IAO

I got you beat man, 6ft 6 inches, 250 punds...with plenty muscle.

I can just say I'm 6 and half feet

Kepp the Omen man, it's more consistant then the trix, with the PDP chip just as fast. Plus less chops.

(if you do HAVE to get a trix, get a New Dye trix, there cool)
