hey guys sorry bout posting so many annoying threads
but this time i really have a problem haha
ok heres the deal
i have had about 1.5 cases through the gun, with very little problems, mainly just reg inconsistency like +-10 and a little bolt stick

but today when i went out and tried to play, i aired up my gun, turn the eyes off for a test shot, and nothing happened....just heard a poof of air

so i put my ear up to the back of the gauge where theres a tiny little crack, no longer than the length of an 'I' typed in this font, and i heard a little air leak coming out, also when i dry fired the gun, the guage showed around 290, and when i shot, it dropped to about 250 and rose back up (either it dropped to 250 and rose, or dropped to 150 and rose up to 250...dont remember)

so i tried to add some more lube to the bolt, and i had the same result...the gauge pressure dropped when i shot, the bold didnt move, and i just heard a poof of air....i switched the modes on the gun (from like semi to auto) and when i held down the trigger for auto mode.....i could hear the gun clicking as it would if i was shooting full auto

so then i was stumped because i dont know a huge amount about the guns....i just enjoy playing for my school team.....as i degassed the gun and unscrewed my tank, i didnt even shoot, like normally, to get rid of the extra gas, which is usually just 1 shot......i just felt the air come out the handle piece....i assume the noid but i dont know too much haha.....i put my tank back on, flipped the RAPs lever to air it up, repeated this whole process, turned my eyes off to dry fire and nothing happened......when i flipped the RAPs lever back up to degass the gun, as soon as the tank was off the threading, i once again heard a puff of air, and felt some more air coming out of the handle to my rev-i

i know a lot of u guys have knowledge on the rev-i please help me out

swap out your #3 sail oring, try a new battery etc, always try the simple things first and move up from there.

Yeah I think the Rev-i has auto degassing as mine did from new - a nice feature as the field I play at frowns upon shots taken after the whistle. Your air pressure reading seems quite high. Most Rev-i users are reading 150-190 psi to get 280 fps. Did you chrono your gun? I would first try restarting with a psi reading below 200 and see what you get. If it still leaks do the #3 o-ring change and retest, if it fails the next step would be replacing the guiding bolt o-ring on the end cap. Let us know what you find.

it usually reads 190 psi....not 290 my bad
so then everytime i shot....the gauge pressure dropped to 150 and rose to around 170-190

The gauge sounds like it is functioning normally. It is also fairly normal unfortunately for the gauge to become cracked. One of the issues the rest of us REV-i owners are going through. I would make sure the gauge is good and tight when the marker is not aired up. I would agree with Evil too, it sounds like the #3 sail o-ring may need to be swollen up or possibly replaced.

protip: have mask on whenever firing you rev-i now

check inside the gage there is a screw ...see if that is tighten up. on my revi that screw got a little bit loose and started leeking some air

I agree with the others here. Sounds like you need to change the #3 oring.

my g3 was doing this.. it wouldn't shoot.. it just clicked.. the bolt had no intentions of cycling any time soon no matter what i did.. turns out it was the noid.. soo try what everyone is doing and if nothing works out try and get a new noid.

I had same problem with my G3 and Rev-I...turned out to be the #3 sail oring. My G3 unfortunately pinched it between the back cap and inside bolt.

I highly doubt he would need a new solenoid based off what he has given for info. Heck these DP noids are very durable so at worst case, he may need to put new o-rings inside the solenoid and relube it up. There have been very few cases where someone actually needed a whole new solenoid. Most problems can be solved with lube or an o-ring.

Agreed!

Most of us paintballers are too poor from buying our equipment to give out parts like this.

that's what happens when i have a left over parts kit and no longer have a G3.

But your solenoid as well as other components from the G3 kit will work in your Threshold.

im going to change the #3 bolt o-ring prob wednesday night because im on campus at my school....and im not even supposed to have a paintball gun here haha....so it would be a very bad idea just to even dry fire it
so im gonna change the o-ring wednesday and tell u guys what happened
