practice practice practice practice practice practice. Don't just bull **** but practice hard and practice with heart. Practice with teams that are better than you and don't be upset when you get scraped. Use it as a learning expierience. Don't be afraid to get shot. Try and learn from eachother and better players as much as possible. Keep personal feuds off the field.

Save up as much money as possible in the off season. You'll find out rather quickly that practicing more than once a month is necessary to remain competitive at the tournament level. Every weekend would be ideal, especially if it's against teams that are better than you.

off season is coming up so try to scrape up as much cash as you can. try to practice every week. if not every other. play a few local tournaments, once you move up you can never play these again! so take advantage of it.

Of course. Obviously, if you don't play/practice you aren't going to get any better. Unless you have a full sponsorship, you have $$ to play. Can't play if you can't pay, can't get better if you don't play.

Practice more, especially against better teams. Try practicing every weekend, not once a month. And when you play your tournament, play aggressive and just have fun. A first tournament is more of a learning experience than anything.

I know money is tight, but if possible try and get out more than once a month, maybe 2 times a month. Practice as much as possible and playing against older and more experienced players is key.The jump from rec-ball to tournament ball is bigger than you think, it takes dedication and is very expensive. But practice practice and....practice.GL

1. Learn the basics pick up some vids "One with a Gun" is good for skills "Heros for a Day" is good for team formulation, Dynasty Dissected vol.1&2 are good but really basic.

2. Practice whether it be with your team at a field or just shooting in your backyard at targets or even snapping in the mirror. Your gun needs to be an extension of your body to feel right.

3. Learn to communicate and play as a team. IMO Probably the most important skill to learn. Watch Rich Telford in Heros and see how he communicates.

4. Don't play over your head. If you can't play snake, superman dive don't do it just because you see others do it. If your not good at snapping out stay tight to your bunker, tell your teammates where they are and have them shoot from another angle.

5. Learn to read fields and set up a good plan and stick to it. Shoot the angles instead of the straight on gun fights. Stay back, stay crossed up with interlocking fields of fire watching each others back.

To sum up...Have good practices, Communicate, Play as a team, and Trust your teammates to watch your back as you watch theirs.

Also have fun, tourneys are hard enough to play with a tight team, start doubting your team, start arguing and fighting with-in, that is a sure loss.
