George Scott will be taking over the MPS!
It is official, I will no longer be running the MPS. The person taking my position will be George Scott who is a good friend of mine and who actually is the one that got me into paintball about 8 or 9 years ago. George has been playing paintball for decades now starting in California. He opened Tornado Alley Paintball about 6 years ago but was forced to shut it down last year. George is the one responsible for bringing large scale events to the Wichita area (even before the MPS started) such as hosting the Severe Series, the TKO Series, the TAP Indoor events, the Midwest Madness Event, the Kansas Kup, and many other small scale tournaments. George is very knowledgeable in running the events and Julie (his wife who I’m sure will be helping him out) is very organized and together, they have what it takes to keep the series going in the right direction and possibly make it bigger and better than what I was capable of doing. I’m sure Tim and Todd will still be in the mix as the UR and the UR’s B.
I will still be around, but I’ll be taking more of a back seat/behind the scenes position. I’d even like to play an event or two with my son next season.
Here is a toast to a great season in 2010!
Dan

Hey George, i was wondering if there are going to be any format changes to the series, and even if there is going to be an open division next season.

An update on me…
One of the reasons I stepped down from running the MPS is so I can focus on my career. Things are starting to move in that direction as starting January 1st, I’ll officially be a Project Manager instead of a Project Architect which is my current title.
In addition to this, there is a strong chance I’ll be teaching Architecture/Drafting classes at Butler County Community College in the evenings starting next year (if not sooner).
I share this with you to let you know that I didn’t give up the MPS to sit on the couch and eat potatoe chips.
I’m excited about all this as it will mean some extra $$ in my pocket and maybe I’ll actually be able to afford to play a few events this coming season!
Later,
Dan
