Unless it's meant for the FT50, chances are most .50cal you will find is fairly "Tournament" grade. Needs to be reasonably brittle given the size of the ball and velocities in play.

Out of curiosity, why are you looking to convert your LV1? Pure novelty, or are you looking to jump in and play .50 against .68 or .50?

Just to switch it up and play against 68. I know PB Innovations has a drop in conversion in the works, and it looked like it would be fun to play with it. Of course there is also the fact that you can carry so much paint vs 68

Best paint for 50 cal with a brittle shell would have to be the GI 3 Star.

I actually just did the same same thing. Got a 50cal kit for my ego11. I haven't tried it yet but I was told the JT splatmaster paint is the most fragile stuff around. Because of the lower velocity for splatmasters it has to be more brittle. I tried the marbs and they were ok.

For anyone curious, my 80/4500 gets like 2700 shots and your loader will hold about 350 and 4x300 pods means you almost have a case on you. You become a walking machine gun. Great for front players who wanna stay small

That's awesome! I was thinking of doing it because I'm a back player. More shots per tank (I run a 68/4500) and being able to carry more paint would be amazing.
Sorry I haven't been on to reply.
