Head Safety

I was involved in an accident 2 years ago and I was diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury. I have been up in the air about coming back to paintball on a recreational level only. Fot those of you who don't know, a TBI is when you hit your head so hard your brain slams against your skull leaving different disabilities. Now, to get a second TBI, you only have to hit your head 1/2 as hard as you did the first time. My question is this, is playing paintball again worth the risk of getting hurt again even though it's a very small chance.

Find out whether a hit to the head by a paintball will cause TBI.
once you have that, you can figure out if you want to play again or not

well, I don't see why it would be a serious problem unless the structure of your skull has been compromised (but I am no doctor)

Because of the small mass, paintballs are not going to be making your brain smack your skull, but dome shots can hurt like a ***** especially if you have little hair. You do need to be careful not to superman slide into the knuckle of a hyperball snake or run into a low branch in the woods. I say get a flex 8 full coverage and go for it.
