nt jewels
hey, does anyone know if its possible to purchase the nt jewels on the body and the asa separately. also, do they sell the rubber grip for the new hype 3 separately? mine unfortunately has a tear on both sides of the tip of each exposed wedge. would this be covered in the warranty possibly as V styled cuts on any kind of rubber become prone to tears?

Those Dye jewels are hard to come by! We should be getting some in next week. Next time you call we should be able to get you taken care of.

Well, they're humans. If they're not easy to communicate with and won't replace a 50 cent piece of rubber for a person who just bought their super marker, they'd be pretty ****ty. NOt saying you're entitled to that stuff, though.
But, glad to hear they didn't give you the 3rd degree and go through extensive questioning and fees.

thats basically what im trying to say, their not ****ty. in fact their great as they could have been jerks about it but they weren't. unlike my cable provider who sometimes charges me random fees and does other unethical practice... seriously dont get verizon.

so i got the replacement grip! though it seems the quality of this grip is not as good as the original. the logo on the grip changed slightly and the micro-traction design on the face of the grip was replaced with a plain smooth design. though im happy that i got a new one.
on a side note, i received this part with my grip
does anyone know what this part is for. i looked through the exploded parts page at the back of the manual and i didnt see anything like it. any help is appreciated thanks.

yeah that is inside your asa I believe. The threaded part screws onto the knob (for the standard dye ASA)

That is an airport piston for our previous model airport (non-UL). I'm not sure why we sent you that if you didn't ask for it...
Oh well, keep it! Someone you know might need it someday.
