Can't let this turn into a BST and get locked, let's not bring prices up in here.

Figured out a relatively simple way to lock the donut on with a c-clip like the original donuts. Makes for a much simpler and safer system than using the frame screw to hold it in.
actually once you assemble it and stare at it for a bit, it makes pretty good sense

Not sure why linking to that isn't working properly, even using the little thing on photobucket that is supposed to automatically copy the correct link to your clipboard. I put it on my youtube so it is easier to link to.
The video is from wiswarsniper, linking to it on his photobucket was not working. In that video, it is set up mechanically with an SMAV-3 as the trigger valve, no QEV. I've had mine set up both with a stock Ion board and a UTB/Mac 33. Nothing with eyes so far, the UTB eye logic would work, but the output that it would need won't trip a Mac 33 without a relay or other way to bypass the board for the actual powering of the solenoid.
i just installed a t-board and 360 qev, i saw an improvement in efficiency, although i cant comment on exact numbers. i keep the ROF capped at 11 bps and i have no noticeable shootdown. my only issue is that it tends to chop the last ball (no eyes) because the action of the bolt is very quick, but i believe that increasing the dwell should fix that (right yoda?) other than that this thing works wonderfully and always gets the "what the hell is that?" question

I'm not surprised the efficiency went up with a QEV, it helps the piston retract faster which gives you full flow capacity sooner in the shot. When using it electronically, I noticed no difference in velocity at a given pressure with or without a QEV, but there is a huge difference when set up mechanically with and without a QEV. The flow rate of an SMAV-3 is just rather pathetic compared even to a stock Ion board and noid, but it is sadly the best valve for the application given its price and size.
And yes, in this system, without eyes, the dwell essentially acts as a bolt cycling delay so increasing the dwell will keep the bolt retracted longer each shot.
i will definitely make sure i do that, i'll try and have another video by saturday
