I don't think it's worth the $1500. Maybe $1000...

It's definately worth it. I shot one last night and it was amazing. I've owned every DM since the DM5 and I'm about to order an NT right now.

imo i feel like the thing is a toy. dont get me wrong it shoots great but so does my ion hah. i feel like it might snap in a min. like its plastic. i play front and front hard. i just have something in my hand that feels like a gun not a toy. and i have skinny hands so the skinny ul frame feels to small ive never realy liked the ul frames. it just reminds me of a slg or something. to small i dunno how much smaller can gets get? the barrel with an air source? it gets funny feeling when my halo full of paint out weighs the gun/ tank

I would not listen to that above post. The NT is really worth its money compared to a Luxe. I think the Luxe is a little over rated, IMO.

Just picked mine up this morning friday and shot about fifteen hundred paint through it and no paint broke. The ul frame is thin, but with the grip its actually feels bigger than my dm9. Falling for this gun so far, like what other people say it is louder than the dm, love the way it shoots. Deffinetly worth it, good work Dye!

i have always shot dm's until i got my luxe. i realy did not think that i could find that to me was equal or better than my luxe. but because i was always a trix fan i reluctantly traded my luxe for the nt. well after using the nt today i am very happy with the trade. it is insainly comf and accurate had no problems. without spacer body and no spacers with blue flow incert i was getting 4 dye pods and std. prophecy loader off 1000 psi on a cp 68/4500 tank. so long & short i was getting over 1600+ off a fill w/o the spacers.
so i think it is as worth a $1600 pb gun as you can get.

umm a prophecy + 4 locklids on 1000 psi out of a 68/45.. sure

let's think about it a little more before we write bedtime stories.

according to what you said:
200 in prophecy + 160 in locklid * 4 = 840 per 1000psi
so 68/45 fill with 500 left = 3360 per fill

and this forum has spellcheck built in now...

i messed up on the post it should have read 4 dye pods and 1/2 of loader
i did not do the math on it but i also never said it would get 3000+ shots per fill i said that i was getting over 1600 per fill. not sure why or what happened but when i went on i had 3000 psi and when i came off i still had 2000 psi and had four empty dye pods with a 1/2 full prophecy. You are correct that it is a bed time story to even dream of 3000+ off a fill.
as for the spell check, it would not work when i tried it and i suck at spelling.
then again last i checked this is pbnation not spelling nation.

i shot a NT sunday BNIB it was incredibly light it felt amazing. it shoots very similar to a geo and sounds like one too. The on off is a pain. Its a great gun i loved it ive got a DM9 and would get a NT if i had the chance no doubt. Its a small gun but by no means feels small when your playing its very comfortable.
at the beginning of the day the air table wasnt working and i only had 1300 psi i shot 2 pods and hopper and had about 500 psi left. Dye has done amazing with this gun who ever owns one is in possession of IMO the best gun on the market right now

I love mine. It's small and light but it feels solid in your hands. The new UL frame and grip combo is the most comfortable on the market in my opinion, even better than the older Dye ULs. The new removable grips are great, but be sure you know the proper way to take them off or else you will break them the first time. I'm a huge fan of the new ASA with the centrally placed macroline.

As other people have said, there is a definite break in period with these guns. Once it's broken in, however, it is smooth as butter as the efficiency is a huge bonus (I don't have actual numbers right now however). Mine shot great at Cup.

being Luxe owner and a person who only shoots spool valves, i wanted to play with the NT to see what all the hype was. after playing with it i wasnt all that impressed it reminded me of a Geo the way it shot, it was loud and kind felt like a popit shooting. now the gun was broken it and it shot ball on ball, and it felt good but for the price ill stick with my Luxe.

Paintball is about preference, but even though it is, i don't see how you can compare other guns with this one....it's amazing.
You cannot compare this gun with a Geo....the geo is such ****...my dm6 shot better than it..
Also, i don't think the luxe shoots as consistent as the NT

My Death Squad just arrived, and I am quite happy. Having owned each SL Ego since the SL74, I am quite happy with the weight, sound signature, and kick. I like a little feedback when I fire the gun, and that is why I could not get into using DMs. We will see how it fires during a tournament Sunday.

I almost dropped the money on a splash Luxe a month ago until I saw the NT. The couple things that worried me about the Luxe were the persistent problems with FSDO, and the efficicency (no choices to significantly improve efficiency a month ago). Also, it felt like I was paying to items that I really did not care to use (speaker, macroless design). Now, the NT has everything I want (hopefully consistency, efficiency, weight) without any extras I don't care to pay for.

I wish that Dye would have finally gotten into OLED, or at least LCD, but these boards are pretty simple and even more incentive to get a Virtue board.
