Congratulations to Benny, Matt and Tom
I would like to take a second to thank Benny Carroll, Matt Darula and Tom Buckley for their years of dedication to the NEX organization. They all proved that hard work and dedication would one day land them at the pinnacle of the sport that they love. I know it wasn’t always easy and all 3 gave up much more than they were ever giving back. But it was because of their hard work that made them better than the next guy.
I always asked myself why I do this year after year and I still cant give anyone an answer that I could feel comfortable with. But one thing I can say is that I’m proud that they were part of the NEX family and I am happy to say that they are my friends. Through the good times and the bad they proved that they knew what it took to be team players.
When I watched these guys playing against the All Americans a few weeks ago, I gotta say that I felt like they played fantastic. But I really didn’t realize how impressive they played until I heard Tim Montressor say “Hey who’s that kid, he’s pretty good” and he was pointing at Benny. Ya I smiled like a proud parent. I could go on for a long time but I think that everyone gets the point.
So anyway I wish them all good luck and I cant wait to see them in action at the cup. And yes NEX will be looking for new players.
P.S. I just wanted to add that if you really love playing paintball, don’t let anyone tell you that “it can never happen to you” . These 3 guys should be inspiration to anyone that wants to some day be a PRO.
