There is no performance difference between the two. Material is the only difference. The EFRod does what it is intended to do which is raise efficiency. Guns vary and each particular gun will show different numbers.

After getting a Luxe rebuilt at DLX, would you recommend re-breaking in the reg before installing the rod?

It shouldnt be an issue to drop the EFRod in at any time.

Just ordered the CF less than an hour ago and it's already in the mail, this guy is awesome. Props. Once I get it I'll let everyone know how it is

The CF rods dont have a tapered end on them like the delrin. Wrap a piece of tape on it and all is good.

i tinkered with it a little but i ran out of day light to mess with it much more, i had no issues with added kick or noise but i am having issues getting it to shoot 290fps without venting, i rebuilt the reg and replaced the o-rings but still couldnt get it shooting harder than 270', i removed 1/4" of material from the rod', ill mess with it more tomorrow and end up removing more material to see what i can get it up to
with the rod installed highest fps i could get without venting was about 275fps, removing the rod at the same operating pressure yeilded 330fps so theres definately a drop in chrono speed with installing the rod as to be expected how-ever they probably need to be about 1/2 inch shorter for most luxes to still chrono 290-300 and not vent', basically just gotta find the sweet spot in length to achieve your chrono desires without venting air from over-pressurizing
ill shorten it and tinker more with it tomorrow after im done playing'

Its odd that some noids vent at different pressures. I havent wanted to have them cut shorter cause some guns dont have issues with the length. I may look into it a bit more.

i hear ya, i know every marker is going to be different, im just gonna shave off a little at a time until i can get to the 295-300fps range', no big deal really, its easy to cut'

take your bolt system out, unscrew the can, unscrew the bolt guide, slide the ef rod in the bolt guide, reassemble bolt system

I put mine in and I couldn't get it to Chrono above 200 fps. I tried backing the manifold screw out, upping the dwell, the FSDO to no avail. My batteries are fresh and I had a full tank of air. Now I can't get it out either--It's stuck! Please help!

You, a few others have reg issues. Clean it. To get it out, just put an Allen wrench in front of it and push it out.

I ran into two of above mentioned probs, noid venting and also rod movement inside the bolt guide. But the efficiency was improved. Guess I must fiddle with my gun a bit more. Great thing to buy for those few bucks!

Again, the cf rods will move slightly inside of the guide. Wrapping a piece of clear tape around the rod will help it to seal inside of the guide. I've been running my gun like this for a month now.

The delrin rods are tapered on one end. They should fit snuggly in the guide.

mmk I'll try cleaning the reg. Well yeah obviously I would've thought of that myself had it not moved all the way to the front. I had to drill a hole through it and use an allen key to get it out through there. Hopefully the hole doesn't really affect anything.
