Empire are great. The ground pounding pants are good except for the built in knee pads they wear out fast. Also take a look at eclipses pads.

Volleyball knee pads! If you're on a budget, they work actually pretty well. I spent $12 on a Kmart "heavy sliding" set, used em indoors, rocks, and turf. They are actually pretty nice.

whatever kind you get, i would suggest some that have straps to hold them in place. my empire ground pounders are nice but they slide down a lot

volleyball knee pads ftw. a lot of paintball pads I've used are made out of neoprene.. I usually don't have the problem of being to cold when I'm playing paintball & I've never understood why paintball pads are designed to keep you warm.

The empire knee/shin guard combo pads are awesome. They stay in place and the gel padding is the best I've ever seen on a knee pad. They're a bit pricey (close to $50) but they're great. The Empire slider pants have pretty wimpy knee protection. They'll wear down pretty quick so you'll need something else. I've tried the Dye pads but I don't like how they fit or feel. Haven't tried the 2010 pads though. I just picked up some Eclipse pads ($29 online everywhere) and I really like them. They're comfortable, washable, and have side impact protection. Plus they have that "new car" smell.
