I really like the way everyone compares gun by efficiency. When was the last time anyone carried 1700 balls in their pack and shot all them until they ran out air? I never carried 11 pods when I played 10 man.

should of lived longer then

but i think its more for the 7 man format and more geared for the pros since you see the back players going though pods like a bear goes though a campsite

I'm curious as to how often they want you to buy their over priced, colour coded orings
i bet its more of a well after so many shots change it then like how cars have after 3000 you need a oil change..

but with proper care if will last longer of course.
all breaks down into how well you take care of it. like how cars can be fine for 5000 miles between oil changes

Efficiency isn't always about playing a single game. Some guys like to play two to three games without having to run to the fill station. Or if you're like me and can only fill to 3000 at the most.......and are down to 1500/2000 by the end of the day, the more efficient gun is what I need. It's one of the reasons I got rid of all my spoolers.

A lot of fill stations at local fields don't give you a nice, full 4500 fill. I usually only get 3000-4000

Couple things Id like to point out.
Accuracy has nothing to do with poppit or spool. Paint to barrel match, consistancy, and FPS will determine the accuracy.

Secondly, the Quest, and Droid both get over 1500 shots per fill as well. I doubt the NT will get more than 1500.

And lastly, shimming the chamber will change the guns shooting/sound if I am thinking straight. You can't just say "I want a more efficient gun, lets shim it"
There is a smaller volume of air which means you would have to run a slightly higher pressure to compensate for the lower volume, making it kick a little more and have a little louder shot.

Correct me if Im wrong on any points.

yea i dont understand that either....cuz the dm10 is just the dm9 with a couple new things? whereas the NT is completely different. I mean what gives?

They probably had a lot of dm9 stock left over so they just updated them into the dm10.

I got my hands on an NT today for a few minutes, and I was thoroughly impressed. The gun is ridiculously small. It's about the size of a 09 UL SLG, but it feels so much better in your hands. It's incredibly light, too. The on/off ASA is really nice. I can't see any way for the snap off grips to come off as the result of a bad dive, those things are on there tight.

Unfortunately I didn't get to run any paint through it, but I really like it so far.

Get the NT man.. I mean shure the price is insane but I been hearing a lot of great things about the gun.

I shot one today (about 400 balls), and it shot great, was consistantly 295 for the first 7 shots then dropped to 290 then back to 294. The weight is nice, very light gin with a small profile, I think the feedneck should be slightly shorter but that is no big deal. The gun shot excellent. The spread was very very small from corner to corner on a regulation sized PSP field. The gun's kick and sound volume was a bit annoying though, not as quiet as the DM7/8/9 and the kick was a bit more and was a bit agitating.

Question... it was asked earlier but no one answered

Whats preventing the paint from not going into your board if the grip is toolest?

I know even with regular grip paint goes inside but wouldnt there be more with this grip...

To me there is alot of chances that your board will be full on paint...

the grips fit on the gripframe just as they would if there were screws. plus it wraps around the back, o i would say that there is less of a chance of paint getting in there. even so, the boards are coated so paint wont cause it to malfunction

The grips are very tight against the frame. I was looking at the boards in one of the guns today, and when I went to close to grips I was actually surprised at the amount of force it took to snap the grip back into place. I highly doubt they would pop off from a bad dive.

And about that board getting paint on it. Paint gets through screwed on grips too dude. I get paint on my board all the time.

this is very true...and you have some of the hard core scenario ballers as well to think about. it sux having to come outta the game to fill up on air every 6-7 pods into it. the better efficiency will allow them to stay & play longer before having to fill up the tank.

oh pipe down you pouge you are just jealous! i played with mine all day at Asylum's Goin Postal. yes its sound is more of a POP than a POOF...and it does have some kick...compared to the DMs, Luxe & well tuned Shockers...but nothing awful. like most guns...it has a break in point and i am sure it will shoot even smoother once that point is reached. one thing i want to point out is the air efficiency is great stock. i am using a 56/45 empire tank filled to 4K @ 285-290 FPS...i was able to shoot 5 dye 160 round lock lids and a full rotor and still had 1500 (roughly by gauge) left over. that is right at 1/2 a case of paint. not bad at all for a spoolie. i am impressed and glad i got one. definately a gun that will be mimiced by companies in the future of spoolies.

Poppit and spool have a lot to do with accuracy. A spool valve only has one moving part, the bolt, which will cause much less kick than a poppit valve.

The efficiency is suppose be higher on a NT with 68ci tank but we will see.

Ahh. I was interperating that a little differently. I thought it was the whole "spools shoot flatter than poppits" type of deal. Yes, spools do usually have a smoother shot.
