Old Matrix

I have a very old Gen-E Matrix laying around the house.. I wanted to know your guys input on if I should attempt to fix it up or just sell it or part it out?

It really needs alot of TLC to get into running order again.

Whats it not doing? Typically anything wrong with a matrix can be solved with a few orings and some grease.

Well basically all I can see from airing it up is there is a leak in the grip and also a leak coming out of the back panel.

One more question, Do you know of any sites that sell the 0-Ring rebuild kits for the old matrix?

leak from the grip frame can be cured by changing the main o-ring, when you take the core peice of the bolt out,, its the second one from the tip, has a metal ridge on both sides, go one size larger than what currently on there, should feel snug in the beercan, not loose

leak from the back panel will probablt be the two o-rings on the tail of the bolt

hope that helps

Its a slideswitch... I think.. You have to move all the different dip switches to different patterns to get the ROF increase or decrease.

Slideswitch literally has a slideswitch to turn it on and off on the back of the gripframe. The LED has one pushbutton on the back of the gripframe. LCD has three buttons on the back of the gripframe.

I think you could just buy a used LCD, with eyes for the same cost as a new board and used gripframe for your trix--if it's the slideswitch matrix. LED gripframe would fit a Tadao board, and LCD gripframe would fit any board.

Too bad it wasn't just some leaks or broken wires.

Yeah I am thinking about just parting it out cause for the price of a board I could get a used Matrix.
