snake help

ok guys i kinda need some help with getting into the snake, i am not a newb but i just need some help on how to get in straight off the break i can superman drive and i am ok at it

so do you guys shoot and run or just run or do you guys like hold at a transitional bunker

depends on how far the snake is and what bunkers are on the way.
CXBL & AXBL e4 layout. Most snake players were running and gunning to the snake.
If you just straight up book it there usually you can get in there fast and further up with the momentum and speed.
It just all depends that's all.

Just go onto youtube or something and watch all sorts of video's and see what snake players are doing. or watch the PSP web casts and stuff like that.

What I like to do is pick an insert bunker...Run gun down to there and look down field before stopping, if there are heavy guns up then stop at the insert.(unless feeling brave that day)If guns arent on you or a small amount go ahead and continue the run into the snake.

also make sure you dont over slide because it's a common mistake when playing snake to over slide into it and if your getting shot try to keep as low as possible.

over sliding is not my problem but the insert idea is good except i try and cover the side of my mask when i am running try to get a bounce so i cant really look down field very well so any suggestions

What seems to work for me on the WC layout is to run flatout and as soon as i get to the can I duck as low as possible while running and dive immeadiately. At that point you should have enough momentum to slide in cover. I did this repeatedly with 2 gun laning my direction.

dive about 10-15 steps fom the snake u wanna be sliding before your inside of it so you can get below the lane

ok cool i will try that this weekend and i usually have only 1.5 guys laning my side, home switches back and forth

EVERY field is different, some times you CAN run a straight line to the snake, other times it's best to take a different route, and sometimes it's best to stop at an entry bunker. Sometimes it's best to run and gun, sometimes it's best to just RUN.

Yep, try all of those with a good laning team against you in practice.

And as for running with an arm up, it's not worth it for the bouncers vs. being blind AND slowing you down (yes, arms help you run faster). The ONLY real reason people do that is for cheating. So unless you're doing it to cheat, stop doing it, you'll be able to see better, run faster, and make the snake more often.

my suggestion is to run the to the can(insert to snake side) idk wat dive u shuld do try them all but i think u shuld dive then get your gun up on snake corner get im in for a cupple seconds but before you do that check d1 cause he has a shot on u and he is more important cause he can get you out then focus on s corner and bump to snake wen u feel its right

When playing snake it is important to work with you corner guy if you are going strait up you need your corner to have his gun up shooting at the players that are trying to lane you out going to the snake. Learn to watch the paint, if center is putting a lane on the snake. You can throw them off by delaying for a second then going. I like to on the brake get the guns up and delay. Watch the paint and ghost the bunkers/fingers in the center of the field. When they start to put heat on me I shadow/ghost bunkers mid field and run strait up. It catches people off guard and by then it gives my corner a chance to get in and post up, supporting my big move and drawing guns to him instead of me. It also allows me to catch a lot of people of the brake making my move that much easer. Making the snake of brake is difficult and more of an advanced move that should be thrown in every now and then. Its not something you want to do every time average teems will catch on eventually. Stay low as possible and a proper dive is key to getting in and staying alive.

Once you are in stay low and work with your corner guy. He is you support, watching your back and keeping you from getting run down. He holds you move, get to a position ware you feel comfortable and you are not going to get pinched. Head check, take a quick look over the bunker see what you got and position yourself to start killing. This draws guns to the snake side taking guns off the D side allowing your D side players to move freely. Communication and teem work is the key pick you battle one at a time donít try to battle two people at the same time you will lose. Listen to the and watch the paint if you see a lane coming over the top of you bunker they are out on you. Wait for you moment and pop fire a few shots and get you head down. Listen to the paint hit the bunker if its getting Louder they are getting closer.

If you do nothing more then get in and draw guns you are doing you job. Think of it this way, 3 guns on you means there are only 2 for the rest of the team. Try to stay alive as long as possible playing to aggressive will get you killed.

Well then don't cover your mask if you have a long run. This actually only slows you down. When you cover the side of your mask you are only pumping one arm. Always pump both arms.

+1 this slows you down, blocks your view of the field and in coming paint. Bad habit that allot of people do, like loading with your gun down.

alright thanks guys
this weekend i will try not to cover my mask and trying to use the insert can
but Mr Idiot Box i dont understand yoour part about looking at D1 the thing i do at that point is look and see if i can catch Home playing loose and then turn my attention to D1
whats your guys opinion on this move
and i do play with a good friend who plays my corner

what do you guys think about an 'L' shaped run
so i would run with my corner guy until right after the can (using the pillars as lane blocking) and run straight up towards S1
