Re: How to install the Ego9/SL94 Plank Kit
In the following weeks and months SL94 owners who have registered their markers for warranty, either by completing the warranty card included in the markers manual or via the online link: http://www.planeteclipse.com/site/wa...gistration.asp
will be receiving upgrade parts packages that include the new "Plank Kit".
Here is a render of what the Plank Kit looks like from both the top and the bottom (please note a Plank Kit ONLY contains one long Plank and one short Plank; [so tempted to make a naff joke about two short planks.....]):
1. First thing to do is to remove any unnecessary items from your marker (barrel, air system, loader AND paintballs) and completely degas it making sure that any stored gas is discharged in a safe direction. Once you have done that unplug the solenoid and the BBSS connectors from the circuit board and carefully remove the frame and the Inline regulator so that your marker resembles this one:
2. Next take a 5/64th" hex key and unscrew the two solenoid retaining screws and remove the solenoid assembly from the marker body:
3. If there are "Turrets" installed in your marker body it will look like this:
4: The Turrets will need to be removed either by hand or by carefully using a pair of pliers to pull them out of the body:
5. Once the Turrets have been removed, or if they were not installed in the first place, remove any excess grease from the bottom of the body and the solenoid assembly:
6. Take the shorter of the two Planks and install it into the solenoid assembly by hand so that the "bottom" of the Plank faces up, as shown in this image:
7. Take the longer of the two Planks and install it into the solenoid assembly by hand so that the "bottom" of the Plank faces up, as shown in this image:
8. With the Planks installed, replace the solenoid assembly back onto the marker body and usings a 5/64" hex key secure the solenoid retaining screws to secure it in place:
9. Replace the frame and the Inline, making sure not to trap any of the wires and reconnect the macroline and the solenoid and BBSS connectors and you're good to go.
Job done
DETAILS OF HOW, WHEN AND WHERE EGO9 OWNERS CAN GET THE PLANK KITS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Reason: Edited to reinforce that Ego9 owners will NOT be sent Plank Kits.

Now I just need an 09!
(Psst! Might wanna circle where the planks go. They're a bit hard to see. They are there, but if people are just glancing, they might miss it.)

Okay:
- Pictures fixed
- No. You cannot get them sent to a school address. They will ONLY be sent to the registered address for your warranty.

This is one of the easiest installations ever. You don't even need to mess with the hoses. Take the 2 screws off the noid so you can remove it from the body, the planks drop right in, and then screw the noid back on the body. Shouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes and most of that is disassembly and reassembly of the gun.

15-20 minutes! I've seen some slow workers in my time, but that takes the biscuit

I was 15 minutes. I added 5 minutes for the even slower ones.

For after your Plank Kit installation:
http://www.pbnation.com/showthread.p...1#post61913711
I installed the Zick2kit, revised solenoid barb and used this guide and I have absolutely no more bumper o-ring shredding. Now I will look to install this plank kit as well.

I love PE
Just a question,
when we install the plank kit, we must change anything in the programing? like dwell?
And yes I see the HYDE - Team Mayhem post...

I have done the dwell setting and ended up at 9.5....... I too have a zick2 and the new barb and checked for overdwelling. still shredding.... hoping this really alleviates my issue. Not sure why mine is so bad.
my ego9 shoots money so I dont mind switching the oring each time I play seems a bit much. Not complaining but if I could get 3-5 cases out of a bumper I would be pleased.

Three letters; L P R
Have you changed out the LPR body o-rings for 014x2 NBR 70's?

Does this help some performance at all? I know it stops O-rings from getting shredded.
