Depends on your budget. A used Spire is going to be $50 to $80 cheaper than a Pulse. Plus I find first run of most paintball products have some bugs. However the chrono is nice to tune your marker if you don't have one. I have not shot a Pulse so I cannot speak to its abilities.

I'd go Spire between the two.

Spire. It's already been proven.

Hands down spire. To pay so much more for the added weight of a chrono is crazy. Plus you won't need it... Every field or shop has one so it's useless in my eyes. Don't get me wrong cool idea and I'm sure they will sell a bunch, but super pricey. I agree with the above comment about first run anythings.

Cheers

Between those 2 options, i'd honestly just get a spire.

This^

I generally don't buy new products from PB companies. If they made boards before then fine, etc, but GI hasn't made much and no hopper. Let other people figure out what sucks about the Pulse if anything. I have been rocking the Spore for some time now, and I like it plus Virtue customer service is top notch.

As far the Pulse goes the big advantage I see there is the chrono. Needed in most situations, no. I do see one huge up for an on board chrono in tournaments so the players can check themselves before the "official" field chrono.

Aren't rotors faster anyways? They advertise a faster feed rate.

Yes a rotor is faster than a spire. I have done side by side test. with bps limits being 12 the speeds of either are not a big factor. Rotor will shoot upside down a spire won't, gravity vs force feeding, spire is gentler on paint, spire 260 is the same size as a rotor, but holds 60 more balls...Thats what sold it for me.
hope tat helps

A rotor wasn't an option. He asked between a Spire and Pulse.

There are so many kids on here that can't read. The next generation is in so much trouble.

^haha, ignorance at it's best.

I don't blame you. You're part of the "doing just enough" generation. Not the "going above and beyond" generation where when someone asks for your opinion, we give it and more by going into detail on alternative options as well.

Thanks for the weak input though. My join date of 10 years ago disqualifies me as being a kid.

Get a spire, it will be lighter and won't have many problems. The GI sportz loader will have a few bugs to work out just like any other product, and a chrono inside your hopper isn't really necessary.

just wait a bit for the pulses flaws come out and are fixed. The spire uses a sensor to make the paddle turn and the pulse is kinda like a rotor but with a tv screen in the back so you don't get board during a game. Then again it could be distracting so if you have ADD i don't recommend it.
