If you live in Oklahoma, you can't beat Robertson's (which is also available at Love's stores) or Hard Times. I would be thankful if you could post a link to anyone selling their own. Homemade is usually the best.

I don't sadly, but I found a new bar of goodness. the quaker selects, I think it is. Got like, coconut, macadamia nut, banana, and mixed berry cashew choclate I think. Used a few today, in fact, really tasty.

2009 was my first year at D-Day and I shot about 2.5 cases between Saturday and Sunday (Sunday was cut short due to weather). I would say plan for 2 cases in the main game and another 1-2 if you are going to be playing any amount of speedball.

I accept: Sevin dust is superb for sprinkling around the campsite but DEET is better for your clothes. Use as close to 100% DEET as you can find, but spray that onto your clothes and let it dry overnight before you put on your clothes. It will last through a couple of washings. The camps should be better mowed for 2010.

Is there some kind of age limit for being there by yourself? I'm turning 16 in December which means I'll be getting my license. I'm hoping to drive down there with a couple friends if there isn't an age limit. It's just something we're talking about doing right now, we've got plenty of time to figure everything out.

The minimum age is 10 years for most units and 15 years for special forces units. If you are mature enough to handle yourself at 16, go for it. Most of the gray hairs like myself will help you out with questions, etc.

Custer is correct, the minimum player age is 10, but also keep in mind
that if you're looking to join up with what they call one of the 'special
forces' units you need to be at least 15 to join them. There's also a
few smaller units, like the 101st and 82nd Airborne Pathfinder units
and I'm sure also some of more elite smaller German units, which all
fill up pretty quickly. Partly that's because they're small and partly
because of their higher than average player retention rate.

Got more questions regards to any of the Allied (US/French/
Commonwealth) units, fire away.

Sincerely,

I've played the Oklahoma D-day game 4 times now and I dont think I have ever used more than 3 cases of paint for the week. On average I'll use about 1.5 cases during the saturday game (always shooting a matrix or E-cocker). Normally with gas (from MN), food, paint, and purchases I'll spend in the $300-$350 range.

Tips...
-Bring LOTS of extra dry comfortable socks, nothing sucks more than wet socks
-Get a good water pack with decent capacity (2.5 to 3 liters)
-During the big game carry granola/energy bars in your pockets and eat them in the dead zone.
-Bring a friend/friends, it makes the whole game alot more fun
-Be friendly with the campers around you, you'll more than likely end up helping each other out and they help keep an eye on your gear/camp site.

With the fomal announcement yesterday by Kee Action Sports
and their efforts to reach out to more players 2010 promises to
be a another big year for D-Day. Don't sit on the fence and
wait till the last minute, cause many of the smaller units, on
both sides are flling up quickly. Get siged up now, while you
can still select your side and unit.
