OLED board question....
When installing the OLED board in the Mini, the stock settings on the board should be fine, correct? I quickly tried the gun the other day, and it shoots the first shot or two perfect, but when you ramp, the entire stream drops off….I didn’t check to see how much air I had or anything, I just quickly tried it out. But if it’s still doing it, what do I need to change my settings to? I HATE having to do that though, I like leaving settings to factory settings.
While I'm talking about my gun, here it is...
Virtue OLED
Virtue grips
Trinity on/off
Shocktech feedneck
Dye UL
Warped Sportz Violent trigger

Are you using an HP or LP tank?

The drop off could be due to the tank not being screwed in all the way. Dry fire a few times while turning the tank in.
How much air was in the tank?

I have a Trinity on/off, the tank was def screwed in all the way. I probably had around 2K in the tank…I’m pretty sure.

Check to make sure the spring was put on correctly. make sure it clicks onto the bolt.
Are all the o-rings good and properly lubed?
EDIT: I would also try a fresh name brand battery. The mini is very tempermental when the battery gets low.

It has a brand new battery and yeah the spring is on properly....I need to spend some more time with it and properly diagnose it.

The only other thing that comes to mind, is try it without the on/off. Maybe its restricting the recharge rate?

I'm inclined to believe it could be a battery issue. On both my mini and g3, I'd have these weird shoot down issues when I rip really hard if the battery is low. But like you, If I shoot slow and do single shots it would shoot fine. A new fresh battery would get rid of the shootdown issues for me.

Wait, wait, wait. Why would you buy an aftermarket board and then proceed to leave it on stock settings? I don't understand spending $190 on a board to leave it at stock settings. If I spent enough to get another used Mini, I'd definitely be tuning that thing to perfection.

Honest answer?
I bought an OLED board for a DM9, and I sold the DM9 before the board came in, and the local store would only issue me a credit, so I got the Mini board.
when it comes to tuning stuff, 99% of the time, more bad than good is done. If the gun was meant to operate a certain way from the factory, there's usually a good reason. I have upgraded everything on this gun minus the bolt, springs, and detents, as I have found that is a good way to ruin a perfectly good Mini.
Just my $.02....but I am sure in the hands of someone VERY knowledgeable, my above statement is a moot point. I am not a tuner, I just play.

Oh ok. I can't fathom going to the store and buying an aftermarket bolt on the spot to just leave the settings stock. As for your original question... I don't know how the board would affect drop off... The only thing I could think of is opening and closing timing of the solenoid.

A trinity on/off? If this a new thread saver, or is it an on/off tank regulator?

No. I traded the dm9 for a Vicious ego9. The mini is my backup. But it shoots just as good as the dm9 or the ego...no lie

Okay, I thought you meant that it was just a regular ASA and was about to ask how your gun did not blow up.
Try shooting your gun without the thread saver and see how that works. If that doesn't fix it, try a tank that has not been having problems. If none of that works, put in the stock board and see if that helps.
I have a few more ideas, but try those first.

I believe that there was another thread where someone was having a problem with an OLED board, let me check.
