Exclamation QEV problem

I am installing a cocker threaded breech.

Upon screwing in the QEV, it either locks facing 90 degrees or at a sharp angle toward the FRONT of the gun.

What am I supposed to do?

I thought about grinding down just a slight bit of the threads on it, any other ideas?

Thanks

That doesn't help. I tried before. With my cocker threaded breech I had to use a SP 360. I tried 2 different clippards and they just wouldn't seal right. SP 360 isn't the greatest QEV but its very easy to install.

Use a tiny o-ring as a spacer for the qev. It doesn't have to screw in all the way if the threads seal just fine.

I should have worded it better.

I used a sanding wheel on my dremel and shaved down just a little of the BLOCK portion, below the threads. It now sits perfectly facing backwards and I gave it a little drop of blue loctite for a little 'umf'.

Careful using loctite. The threaded part of the qev can snap right off if they're on too tight or adhered in place.

I have seen that happen. Then you will need a new breech.

I used blue and just a tiny bit to give it a seal. I've broken QEVs before on cocker rams from over-torquing, I've learned my lesson.

I broke a barb off in a cocker LPR as well. It was a dumb move on my part.
