Well, some of the members came out during OzzFest, so I'm not sure. I don't really keep up with Pantera.

Pantera is no more.

Phil and Rex are in new bands.

Vinnie and Dime started another band. Can't remember the name off the top of my head, but if you liked Pantera I would deffinately look into it. Vinnie and Dime are brothers if ya didn't know that either.

Havn't heard anything about him working with Otep. Only thing I know about him is that he is completely done with Pantera and only working with Superjoint Ritual.

Rex is now producing and playing bass for Crowbar.

Vinnie's and Dime's new band is New Found Power.

Phil Anselmo left about 4 months ago. He's all about Superjoint now. If phil started working with otep, i'd cry

Phil(the singer) is now with superjoint ritual and it will probably stay that way.

Vinne and Dime are working on New Found Power

back to Phil-he has been in more bands than anyone ever will be....but he pisses me off. Pantera was the best and most versatile band he had and he left it. the prick needs to get off heroin.

Rex I dont think is doing anything. He might be doing something with crowbar but i dont know.

edit- phil has nothing to do with otep. like everyone has said. he is putting all in SJR

I personally can't wait for a new found power album. It's so terrible pantera went their own ways, they truly were an awesome band.

i never really cared for pantera that much but frankly im not much of a metal fan.

it was obvious that they had the potential to be one of the greatest bands to step on a stage, but i for one found pantera's sound so similar to the other metal bands around at that point, that pantera to me was more of a mark in the musical timeline.

sjr's new album sucks except for a few songs.

phil went with his worst side project

hearshot- i cant believe you said that. do you play guitar? because dime has the most unique sound. i dont think pantera sounds like anything out there; but to each his own.

Superjoint's new one kicks ***. The only songs I don't enjoy would have to be Sickness, Personal Insult, Symbol of Nevermore...and...can't think of anymore...

nah, im not ambitious enough to play an instrument. but i have enough of an understanding for musical capability to see that dime bag daryl has the talent of three amazing guitarists combined (which is why i mentioned that pantera had tons of potential.) but that does not change the fact that in all honesty, the sound pantera produced was nothing short of a cliche outside of the metal scene. but then again, even some metalheads would agree that pantera was one of the less original metal acts when looking at some of the other thrash/sludge/ whatever bands back in late 80's to mid 90's (im not even going to mention some of their earlier releases, *cough* metal magic, *cough*.) type o negative is a good example of why pantera wouldn’t be considered the most experimental metal act under the sun. but of course this is all opinionated, because every has a different interpretation of the music that artists create. im not the biggest heavy metal fan,

anyway, so take it easy in case any of you metal heads were totally offended by this post. there are a lot of acts that i would pick over almost any metal band you can throw at me (cept for dillinger escape plan, those guys rock .)

he will have to eventually. they signed a 3 album deal with electra. alot of people believe that the only reason he is in SJR is because of electra is screwing him over. i think that he has done to much heroin to think straight.

I agree with HSKD on the thought that pantera wasn't the most orignal metal bands. While they are probably my favorite metal band (about tied with BLS) they don't fit the description of alot of 'screaming' type metal bands. I tend to think of pantera as a hard-rock band on some serious steroids. Then again, I like bands extensively because of the guitar work or overall instrumental talent, and good luck finding another band that can tear it up like pantera. RIP pantera
