Trip to Vegas. Need help!!!

I am planning a trip to Vegas for my fiance and I in the near future. I have been looking at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. I would like something extravagant yet somewhat affordable. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

2 tips from a lady who worked at the front desk at the MGM Grand told me:

1. if you have reservations for a cheap room, ask if you can upgrade. I got a $120 room from the aforementioned lady for $60, then I asked the front desk if there were any upgrades available, and I ended up staying in one of those $1,200 per night penthouse suites for about $180. They basically want as many rooms filled as possible, because even for $180 a night, it's better than having it empty.

2. I don't know how comfortable you are with your fiancee financially, but a great way to get free/very very cheap tickets is to do those timeshare presentations. Normally they'll have people standing out front asking you about vacation resorts. You get to choose tickets (I got 5 lance burtons for $80, it would have been well over $500 regularly), get a free catered lunch, and then tour some really nice condos (as in 4-5 star accomodations). The one caveat is that you have to be credit-worthy (just show you have a credit card) and they'll tell you they only take 90 minutes or so, but ours took close to 3 hours.

those time share things suck. I visit fatwallet.com and they have a good thread on vegas and one trick that they use. Give the person at the counter when you check in your ID and credit card with a $20 in between the two and ask if you can get an upgrade. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt, and usually when it doesnt they give the $20 back. They also have 2 other threads, a promo code thread and one where peolpe give up there free time to hellp you get the best deal...its completely different then ST there

Have you tried the Priceline Negotiator?
I got a room at the Hilton Gaslamp in downtown San Diego for what should have been around $300 for $65 a night, check that out.
What you do is you start low, and work your way up. When the message that the price is too low is gone, try submitting it, the only thing is, once you submit that price, it goes, and they pick the hotel for you.
However you can pick the star level and number of people staying, than, we called the hotel and asked for a room that would fit the number of people we had going.
/informative post

the b is not cheap at all. thats where most of the big money games go down so it anit cheap.

the trop is in the middle of the strip and really cheap but not the nicest.

the mirage anit bad and good location.

the v is in the same class with the b.

ceasers is nice but getting old quickly.

the palms and hard rock are good for younger people allthough hdr is off the strip.

and are you looking to do while there? cards? random gamble? party? usefu; details

I'm sure he totally understand what you're saying.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but
B = Bellagio
The Trop = Tropicana
The V = The Venetian
right?
If so, than all of those will be about the same as the Bellagio on terms of price. Try some of the more low end hotel/casino's that offer cheap specials like New York, Excalibur, Luxor, etc.

Yeah, I've been to the Venetian 2 or 3 times, gotta love that place.
The last few times I've gone, we've stayed off the strip at Lake Las Vegas which is pretty tight.

Mainly looking to have just a me and her thing most of the time. I am personly looking to hit the tables every night (Hold Em is my preference). She isnt much of a gambler so I would figure she would just play slots or play something simple with me.

Another thing we plan on doing is just drive up the strip and hit up whatever looks like fun. Like I said tho, I'm a poker guy so yeah. Lol

what do you want to spend a night?

from $70: MGM Grand (#4 poker hotel)
from $81: Mirage (#3 poker hotel)
from $90: Ceasars Palace (#5 poker hotel)
from $139: Bellagio (#1 poker hotel)
from $159: Venetian (#2 poker hotel)

Ceasars is the cheapest place to play Hold Em with a $1/$2 (NL)

The Rio where the WSOP was held is not that good for every day poker.

THE HOTEL at Mandalay Bay is better, even the bathrooms stalls in the lobby have their own individual rooms with black marble, and they have those raised bowls for the sinks. like this:

It's insane.

i would go to Bellagio if money wasnt an option. but i def wouldnt say they have the easiest poker games. head to mgm for lower stakes play.

jsut a thought, have u played anywhere before? if you have logged some decent time on a players card then you might be able to get better room prices.

also look into places that offer a poker rate. cheaper room but you have to play X amount of hours of poker per day.
