So i air up my ion and everything seals, i turn it on, eyes off, and itll start doing a putt putt putt shoot putt putt putt putt shoot putt putt shoot sort of thing. I changed the battery to a new duracell and still nothing. any suggestions?

If your battery is brand new then it's probably that the dwell is too low.

The battery: is it new as in right out of the package from the store, or "new" as in pulled out of your kitchen drawer? If it's the latter, go buy a brand new one.

If it's already new, it's the dwell, as OA said.

Happened to me it is VERY VERY VERY EASY. All you gotta do is lube your bolt (spoilies love lube more than porn stars). The put put noise is the bolt not pushing through enough because it isn't lubed

hey hockey check your dwell man i don't remember what i had it set at when i sold that board to you i'd check it and see if thats the problem it most likely is....

When ions finally break in, they generally need to have the dwell dropped by an increment or two.

1. Clean and lube your gun up first. Make sure the bolt isn't binding up, I.E. The O-rings on the bolt, etc. Then put it back together.

2. Put in a new BRAND NAME battery.

3. Adjust your dwell using the sticky in the main Ion / Ion XE forum following the directions VERY CAREFULLY.

3.5. Make sure you have enough air in your tank. (or CO2 if you use that...)

4. Enjoy your fully functioning gun.



I'm pretty sure (85%) that this is a dwell issue. Make SURE your increasing / decreasing dwell... not ROF or firing modes. Use your manual or like i said, the sticky. Good Luck.
