i have shot empire bullets, xball inertia, have not had any problems with them except for a few curves.

just got a case of formula 13, wpn grade, and dxs triumph to try out. Shot a bag of wpn and triumph and the triumph has a much thicker fill. $40/case for the tiumph is not bad. I also got a 500 bag of midnight, stinger, and karnage bite rec ball to try out. But I am thinking I will be sticking with Formula 13 or triumph myself

I typically stick with kee. You really can't go wrong with any of their paint. Ultra-evil, evil, marbs with evil fill, marbs, all-star, premiums, formula-13, stinger, heat.
I recently got myself hands on some XO spectrum and I have to say it is the BEST bang for your buck practice paint ever. I dunno if it was just a good batch but it was cheap (around 40$ cdn), just as round as marbs (I used inserts to tell if your wondering), decent fill almost as good as premiums or formula (key word is "almost") and I didn't see a single dimple. It was boring very small though (normal bore=687/684). Mid grade paint at low grade price.

I shot draxxus bronze (mid grade. about the same price as premiums and formula) at a 3-man tourney. It shot ok the day we bought it. It had a ok fill, wasn't as round as normal mid-grade and I noticed low-grade like dimples but it shot average for mid-grade. Next week it was **** like it was clumping and sticking to the bottom of pods, was shooting absolutly everywhere and the shell had gotten really really soft. Im not sure if it was a bad batch or whatever but this is just my experience.

My opinions are based on my personal experiences. I have only shot XO and Draxxus once so keep that in mind.

My go to paint:
Practice (low-grade): Heat, Spectrum, Stinger
Practice (mid-grade): Premiums, Formula (If i had to shoot only one paint, all the time and money was a factor, I'd definately shoot one of these)
Tourney: Marbs, All-Star, Marbs with Evil fill, Evil

XO Industries Paintballs are supposedly pretty good and I know you won't find a better deal. If you do that is some cheap crap your shooting. Haha here's a link to a good deal on XO Paint.

As I ONLY play woodsball, I have used a lot of different paint. I prefered Bronze for a long time, but it was still a little too brittle to shoot through leaves and twigs. I now use Draxxus Blaze which is slightly tougher, and I can actually bounce off of leave piles on the ground and can skip them under barriers to hit people. That is the only paint I use now, plus it holds up well in a very wide range of temperatures (90+ degrees all the way to 30 degree temps).

Blaze has been shooting well all year - plus they can't see it coming.

It's on a par with bronze for breaking.

Now's a great time to find premium paints at discounted prices. Check craigslist and you might find someone in your area with excess paint from Cup or the USPL finals. I'm in California so there is a ton of extra paint around. You can usually score Ultra Marbs/Evil for $40 and Formula 13 for $35.

It's pretty easy to define good paint:

breaks on target, not in your barrel.

ball on ball consistancy

decent color and thick fill

A price that you can afford.

for example:
I think Visible impact is Great paint, does all of the above for a great price.

is it as good as marballizer? NO! but for the money, it's a great paint since I seem to never have a bad batch. (lately I have been playing with marbs tho)

I only shoot Beast paintballs now. They are all consistently round, have a semi-tough shells which works great for woodsball, a bright fill and they store very well. I've shot several cases of this stuff and have never seen a dimpled or broken ball in the bag. Ive never seen a negative review on them either.

Unless I'm mistaken, 40(dollars) divided by 2000 (paintballs) is .02

Also 10 divided by 500 came out to .02 also

Yeah I got that too lol.

Anyway I got some of the Valken paint, and it's phenomenal paint for the price. Their top grade shoots like marbs and their feild grade shoots like formula 13 (Which at my field, has gone downhill in quality lately for some reason?)
