Is this the right barrel?
In the upgrade reccomendations thread most people seemed to reccomend the freak barrel for the Ion, I went on action village and I think this is the right one but there are a lot of barrels named freak so I'm not 100% sure...

That is a Freak Junior Kit.
In my opinion if you want a Freak Barrel I would get the newest style of Freak barrel back along with 3 inserts (a small, medium, and large bore) and a 14" All American Front. I've just never been a fan of the freak jr.

I have one other question, I'm a little confused about size when it comes to front and back barrels. If it says "14 inch barrel front" does that mean that the actual front of the barrel is 14 inches or does that mean that the entire barrel when put together will end up to be 14 inches?

Entire barrel when put together is 14 inches. A 14 inch tip is the one you want.

but one of my friends uses a freak back and a AA 14 inch front...and he shoots straight ropes....

I personally would buy 3 CP 1 piece barrels. A 685, 689 and 693 and be done with it.

why would he buy a ****** cp barrel?
I thought those barrels were made by ANS and sold by them as well. Why would you get them anyways not even knowing how they shoot?  Oh I know... probably because Mike said that their limited production and shoot awesome.
Agree with AR as well.... CP barrel while don't look great imo are the best shooting barrels around. I get a Marq Barrel kit intead probably since they are made by CP and look better.
