Techy question..WGP+detent

I've just resurected an original WGP Sniper II ( not a cocker+pump ) and I've statred to relive the basic issues that are part and parcel.
Firstly it is double-balling which was always an issue with them, the ball-bearing detents are easy to get but I need the correct spec for it's location.
Has anybody fitted one to a Sniper or can you give me the spec from a cocker,thanks...

It only goes on one side. Look for a really big threaded hole on the side of the body.

The original sniper II , does NOT come with detents ,( as seen here)

they have to be drill and tap as per user liking.
May want to post or search on MCB forums.

Don't do it!

It will only bring down the value on that awesome marker.

Get a different body that already has a detent.

I know what you're saying but to use it realisticaly I have to add the detent, and I'd rather use it than admire it...

you realize that a pump doesnt need detents really? if your double feeding, its you. you have issues with the way you pump. you should be able to pump reliably wit a hopper or a stock feed with no detents and not double feed. detents help a little, but most of it is the user. tehy are just a littel extra security.

i know this, because one of my teammates had that exact gun (as do many others, and everyone else that played in the early 90s). it works fine. played many a game and not one feeding issue.

phantoms dont have detents. only rings, which only prevent rollouts. you can still double feed. its how you pump.

Oh ****, an original sniper 2. I didn't think he had actually found one of them.

Don't drill, find a new body.

i would also leave it, but since you didn't ask what we'd do it doesn't matter. It is possible to pump without it double feeding though. I've never had double feeding issues with any of the phantoms i've owned aside from a extra ball here and there. Had it more often with snipers W/detents. i think i just suck at shooting snipers.

My old Sniper doesn't have a detent and it never double feeds.

Are you shooting tiny paint, or is the breech very worn on your body? Just wondering what's going on, my breech "holds" the paintball before I pump the bolt forward and into the barrel. You can test this by putting the bolt in and pulling it back, while leaving the barrel off.

Why did Belsales work how how to stop balls double-feeding if it isn't an issue?
It was in the 90's and it's not different now,it was one of the first mods introduced and yes I did have one the first time round.
Wether you blame the player(me) or the marker it's still an issue.
And as I intimated in the originals post it is an original Sniper not a cocker pump....must remeber to remove my Ego detents...

ok....well. again its like anti lock brakes on cars. upgrade? yes. but cars worked for decades before them fine.

pump it right and you will most likely never have an issue. cause i have nevr double fed with my phantom unless i was messin around and i wanted 2 (come on, who hasnt tried to double shoot something...)
