There is more of the donut exposed in the rapper's PE engine than the Victory's.
Removal of the original, I use a dental style pick.
After removing the engine from the marker, dismount the bolt off the front of the ram and unscrew the 2 engine halves. Remove the spring and valve to expose the teflon seal/donut. At the inside bottom, you'll the outside edges of ports machined into the engine's rear section. Take the pick and use the ports to get under the seal and pull out for removal. The donut is press in by hand but are pretty snug, so don't be surprised on how much force is used.

Installing the new donut, just determine what side has the, inside beveled edge. This is the side you want facing against the valve. Press in by hand until fully seated and reassemble the rest. Pressurize and dry fire with a swab or squeege to seat the valve against the seal, check for leaks, check pressures with a tester if you have one and go chrono.

BTW, if you didn't realize, there is a Victory manual online at boblongdirect.com, in the download section.

The burping full-auto/stuck open valve phenomenon will be gone, consistency will be better and you may see an increase of fps.

Your welcome, I'm just happy when they work like their supposed too.
And it kills me when they don't, more so when when our prototypes have been flawless and then a small portion goes awry with this introductory run.
I know our assembly crew is top notch, they take pride in their work and they take failures personally.
Nobody expected that the seals to be an issue, they were a proven component with the PE engines.
What lead us to seal was me doing a first rebuild on my prototype while participating at the recent LA USPL event. On the third pod in a game my valve stuck open, funny thing is, in that instant, while degasing my gun and repressurizing to reset the valve, it came to me.
Immediately after the game, I chased Bob down with my theory, he called at the shop and had Jason take some measurements, sure enough, there was some batch in a parts bin that were a couple of thousandths of an inch off.
Just enough to cause problems, luckily just regulated to small portion of approximately 500+ Victories already built.

Doesn't even begin to describe it. 60-70 hour weeks since May. That's what I get for taking a Chief Engineer job at the end of an Award Term. I'm salaried so I don't get paid more, but it's about getting the job done and making sure the work gets done (right) for our customer(s), hence a ton of hours.

Until the last week or two, I hadn't played since April. I took my Vice out last weekend, hadn't touched it in nearly 4 months, put it over the chrono and other than being a little low on velocity it was +/- 2 at like 255. It was ridiculous the number of times the same number kept coming up on the chrono. Had both of them out yesterday after I tuned em up and they were spot on. God I love BL guns.

You going to be here for the USPL too?

wow after installing the new donut and spring, I'm getting leaks on the engine. I had the correct pressures set and the beveled dounut facing the valve shaft installed.

Now I'm just getting leaks. I tried to rebuild, lube the whole thing again and still leaking.

I guess I have to send it in...

I am having some issues and am not really sure if I need a donut or not. At the recomended settings of 75-80 fo rthe lpr and 220-230 for the hpr, i am shooting around 340fps. to get it down to 285fps I have to run it about 65-70 and 170-180 on the hpr. Any lower I get the valve sticking issue.

Probably not. I know that SLY won't have a booth there, if I do go, it will be in the capacity of just hanging out with Terry and the dudes.

Hopefully this event is a step up from the last, because the last one was pretty much regional series status.

What is the dwell at?
What does it do at 75-80 and 160-170?

My dwell is at 6. When I go up to the 75-80 area my velocity goes into the 290's. When I am in the 160's on the hpr and I start to see the full auto/valve not sealing issue.

When you get a chance, try 5ms dwell and see what that does.

why not just leave your lpr there and chrono to velocity? seems fine to me
