Will it hold?

I'm not a super milsim fan, so I was wondering if a gun like the invert mini could withstand the rigors of long scenario play. For an event like ION 10 (which I'm dying to play in) would the mini last or should I stick to run of the mill A5'in it? Thanks.

Yes, any gun will work, in fact the lighter the gun the better you will work.

I use an EGO for all play, scenario and tourney, have since 2006. One of my teammates uses a mini for scenario and he loves it. Quite, light and fast. I never was a fan of mil-sim even when I played using it.

You could always go with a BT TM7 based on a mini.. light and fast ,looks good and can add items to rail system

You can bang up any marker, break a hopper, etc. I fall down a LOT and generally get more body damage than marker damage.

I run an Old Mech Autococker and Spyder Compact for backup. Cockers are kind of fussy. A love hate relationship. When they are rock'n, you love them. When they act up, you hate them.

Those mechanical markers have one good feature. You can play in the rain, run up the creek, wade the edge of the pond and show up places they don't expect. Something the electro markers wouldn't dare try.

You see just about everything in play. Make sure your marker starts cleaned and tuned. Take a backup, just in case.

It is an expensive trip to have your marker go down with no way to fix it or have a backup.

Have the spare O rings, springs, and tools etc in case you need to make repairs at the game.

Oh my God what have you done to your mini? Why add the black shroud to it? I understand the OD green color for those of you who like your gun to blend in but man that black shroud is hideous.

I've played in every ION since 05, you'll see pretty much every marker under the sun there. I know a couple people who use minis who frequent the field, so I guess they work. One thing I'd advise, though, make sure you have a way to keep your marker dry, because it rains every year (some years more than others). Also, it can never hurt to bring the A-5 as a backup.

Gas through stock, screws right into where ever a tank will thread with a 1/8npt output port for attaching a remote. Very popular when remotes were stereotypical tournament gear.

I agree that a lighter gun the better. I don't know about where you play, but my field counts gun hits. if you are toting a marker that is as tall as you are, you have a pretty hard time hiding behind a tree. The Mini, or my STO, can be useful when actually trying to be discreet and sneaky
