Nom worthy spots on my Drive?

So guys, Im going on a solo road trip to see my dads side of the family. Anyone got any good spots to stop and eat at along my route?

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Okla...c=Baxley&2s=GA

Thats the route Im taking, driving through Memphis, I know there has to be something there I must try.

Also, I am totally open to having a beer with anyone on the way.

I lived in Birmingham for a short while. Here are the places I enjoyed barbecue. Jim N Nicks was good for a little more upscale sit down kind of restaurant with table service and a full menu. Dreamlands near downtown is also good. It's more casual as well as Golden Rule, being the most casual.

As for Atlanta, I've seen a drive in called the Varsity. Seems pretty decent and an Atlanta institution. Might be worth a shot.

On second thought, go to the Coke museum in Atlanta and fill up on free soda.

Eat at the Vortex in Atlanta. One of the best burgers you'll ever eat. Go to the one in Midtown.

If you are rolling through Birmingham at a later hour, try Al's Deli and Grill. It is open 24/7 and it the late night stop for everyone in Birmingham. Dreamland Ribs is also a must stop for great ribs(its also half a block from my new house).
