This is cool and all, but it's unrealistic and won't happen. The Xgames isn't the venue. A.) it's a team sport, and B.) The casual viewer (which is probably going to be over 90%) won't know what they're really watching. I remember seeing paintball on TV and having NO idea what was going on. Plus... not to be a negative nancy or anything, ESPN doesn't read online petitions that everyone and their sister can sign. Paintball has to work up through the ranks on television and culture before making it on a big stage like this.
I don't want to be annoying, I'm simply stating my position on the subject.

Its all about awareness and education. If we don't start somewhere and say "well its too late, or Its not ready for this, or my opinion wont count...Then it will never happen. If we build awareness now, maybe the young ballers of today may have a chance 5 years from now..Rome Wasn't Built overnite.

Why?
Not to be a buzz kill, but paintball doesn't have a place in the X-Games.
The X-Games are all single individual, show-stopping performances. They are about individual technical skill and creativity. Paintball doesn't fit the mold of the X-Games at all. Look at the events - BMX, Motocross, Skate, Rally - how does paintball fit in with these events?
The fact that paintball is played more often than, say, snowboarding, does not make it an X-Games sport.
I'm sorry, but there is no way paintball should be at the X-Games. The X-Games is about the spectacle - paintball has no "spectacle", its just cool.
Paintball doesn't fit in major sporting competitions. Not the X-Games, not the Olympics. It is too extreme for the Olympics but not extreme enough for the X-Games. Paintball is paintball.

You are open to your opinion..I disagree and will support trying to have Paintball in the x-games. Formats of the Olypics and x-games change over time. Read "Who Moved My Cheese"

My thoughts exactly. I watch and LOVE the x-games.. just don't think paintball has a place there.
It certainly should be on television, but not yet on a national stage. Honestly I don't think paintball with ever be more than the grassroots niche sport it is now... It sure will get bigger over time, but it's never going to be Baseball.

Then it isn't about it being in the X-Games, it is about the sport getting more exposure (which I definitely would like to see).
Why waste time attempting, in vain, to get paintball into the X-Games, when that time can be put working towards other exposure?
The X-Games won't add paintball. It just doesn't fit them, at all. They especially won't add it due to an online petition. I'm sure there are other avenues to get paintball more mainstream exposure. It just takes some creativity.
