First day of play with Azodin Kaos

I finally got a chance to go play today and I used my Azodin Kaos for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it performed, considering it only cost me $75 brand new. Cocker threads meant I could use any of my barrels. Good thing I had a .685 because the field paint was small. Anyways, it shot pretty smooth, not a whole lot of kick. Pretty loud, but that's okay. Stock feedneck was garbage, but the Kaos takes Ion threaded feednecks, so I put a new CP clamping neck on it and all was right with the world. The asa makes it very hard to unscrew your tank, so I replaced that with an on/off I had lying around. All things considered, I had a great time shooting this mech marker. I might even like it better than my Promaster and SLG.

What type of ASA did you slap on there? My next upgrade will be an ON/OFF CP asa and I wanted to know if you had any problems replacing yours.

I agree with the feedneck. Actually, it was my first upgrade on my Kaos. I bought a Trinity clamping feedneck. Stock barrel is decent but I have a Stiffi and CP one piece.

Will you be upgrading to a regulator? That's one of the upgrades I see mostly done on the KP.

I put on a Function push button on/off. It's ok, does the job, but doesn't purge. I like the CP asa's a lot more. Very easy to turn and purges your marker.

The 90 deg. swivel is a little hard to get off of the foregrip. I had to put it in the vice and give it a little muscle.

I don't think I will be putting a reg on it any time soon. I was pretty consistent at the chrono today without one.

A CP reg will not work on a Kaos. The CP doesn't provide enough output pressure to operate the marker. You need a reg that can operate in the 700-900psi range. I would recommend a Palmer Stabilizer.

Max input is 900 psi. Output is 0-500 psi.

So, no, the CP would not work.

really? In all honesty, it works fine with mine... and many others who have a reg similar to the CP's output. You just have to tune/sweet spot it...

mine works at about 650psi with a CP...

Well, yeah, it'll work if you re-spring the KP to lower the operating pressure. But not stock.
