Does this part belon with techt l7 bolt?

Ok I just got the Techt L7 bolt, and my ion pro has a firebolt in there already. I see on the instrucitons that I needed to insert my bolt stop in the bolt stop, but there isn't one that looks like the one they pictured.

Is this because the firing can for the firebolt is different since the firebolt goes into the back cap?

The thing for the firebolt has a bolt stop built into it, and can't come out.

So do I need to but a new firing can for my bolt to work? I tried everything so i'm pretty sure I need a new firing can...

Thanks guys, i'm playing this weekend so any help would most def help me out.

the L7 bolt comes with this Donut looking thing, with an oring on the ouside and the inside. You have to remove the Firebolt's old bolt stop and then stick it in there.

Great. disassemble the ion. Unscrew the firing can from the breech and remove the firebolt and bolt stop. You may need to use an allen key or something similiar to remove the bolt stop from the firing can.

I see on the instrucitons that I needed to insert my bolt stop in the bolt stop, but there isn't one that looks like the one they pictured.

You should have received a Bolt, Plug and Bolt stop with your TechT L7
Is this because the firing can for the firebolt is different

No the firing can is the same.

since the firebolt goes into the back cap?

This doesn't make much sense.... probably a bad decription of what you're trying to say

No following what you mean by the thing. If it's the bolt stop like I said it comes out.

So do I need to but a new firing can for my bolt to work?

No

I tried everything so i'm pretty sure I need a new firing can...

You haven't tried everything since if you had it would be working No you do not need a new firing can.

Thanks guys, i'm playing this weekend so any help would most def help me out.

Should be able to.

WTF? I tried taking out the old bolt stop but it's part of the firing can. It's weird, it wouldn't come off so I used pliers and it still would not budge, THEN I took a pair of dixe (dyx idk how to spell it) and still wouldn't come off.

I then looked harder and it was part of the firing can. Idk. It's a cylinder thing right that the bolt stop goes into? Yea the bolt stop won't come off.

I looked up firing can, and the things that came up didn't look like LITTERLY ANYTHING I have in my bolt setup...

But the thing the boltstop is oging into well the boltstop was part of it...

It sounds to me from the description you just gave, that you're trying to separate the firing can even further after removing the breech.

Take the firebolt, stick the tail of it onto the small hole that you see on the open end of the can (it's set back about 3/4"). Tip the bolt to the side so that the larger portion on the bolt tail hooks the edge of the little hole. Pull really hard.

The small plastic disc with a hole in the middle WILL come out, it is absolutely all one piece.

There is no way that SP made one ion, out of the eleventeen million they've sold, that has a 1 piece can and bolt stop.

So that e are 10000% clear, this is what the bolt stop is:

That's what I'm thinkin. Somewhere along the line the terminology of the parts is getting mixed up or something. This just isn't making sense

I have done all of this. I tried using my pocket knife's hooked can opener and yank it out, but WON'T come out. I tried using a huge nut driver and push it out, didn't even budge. I tried using dyxe and when I cut it it broke off part of the can... post a pic of the firing can so I can tell ya if that's what i'm talking about. And yes that is bolt stop I know what I was looking at haha that's why i'm so confused.

I have an ION PRO so it came with the firebolt is what I was told. It is a brand new ion pro too idk if that makes a difference.

Ion Pro XE or just a regular Ion, because both firing cans are different ?

Idk, all I know is that it's a brand new Ion Pro. Came with freak barrel firebolt, and a locking feedneck.

Firing can:

I drew a donut on it to avoid confusion, and the bolt stop is in the end with the arrows, about 3/4" from the open end.

Well I don't have anything on the other side, it's just open and the bolt stop sticks out from the firing can not all the way in like that.

Yes my bolt sticks out like that from the body.

A picture of the parts in question would be your best bet. Also, do you have a manual?

Ok guys this is what came with my Ion Pro with the firebolt that came stock in it. Like I said I recently bought this techt l7 bolt and it won't work with what came with my firebolt.

And this is EVERYTHING that came with the gun and my new bolt that won't work.

This thread hurts my head.

It's surprising odd that it hasn't been figured out yet. Actually frustrating is more like it. (not you Goo, just your problem. it's annoying not being able to figure out something)

I don't know how to make the pics bigger, I uploaded them from my camera to photobucket and like i do on my mustang forums, I put them on here, only this time they were tiny.

But Yea I swear this is not the right part for my bolt. I think the Ion PRO comes with a different part or can or whatever my part is called than a regular ION most of you have.

Unless you guys use the same part in your gun with this techt l7. Because there is NO WHERE for my bolt stop to go with the inner parts my PRO came with.

if you want email them to me at openingact@hotmail.com and I'll host them and see what I can do.

A picture of your marker next to the parts may help as well. Most of the vets here have seen every variation of your ion so whether or not we've owned the exact item most of us know what we're doing.

todd@techt works for a Paintball manufacturer
It actually looks as though you may have ordered an EOS L7. I can't really tell from the small pictures; but is the TECHT bolt stop a small doughnut like the stock? Or, is it an elongated tube?
I am almost positive you purchased the wrong L7. There are three types:
Original ION: fits original ion, SP8, and Epiphany
ION XE: fits ION XE, SP1, and Vibe
EOS L7: Fits the EOS

The only difference between all three is the bolt stop.
