i have been wanting to get into RC cars for a while and i had my chance after selling my dm6 and the rest of my semis ( i play purely pump now) i had to put most of it to my collage fund but i am left with some cash. i would like to get a decent car that preferably doesn't run on batterys for around $300 so can someone make some suggestions. Also i don't mind buying used.
a revo comes to mind but it is out of your budget right now.. a revo is a fun racer and they can take some pretty good abuse.. a savage is also a good option.. 4wd monster trucks are probably your best bet.. or you can get the slayer Corr truck
Actually you should seriously consider an HPI savage.
You can find them used usually cheap. I know a guy that has a practically brand new one for sale that includes loads of alloy upgrades and a brand new .30 WASP still in the box. This is an untypical sale, but Im on it.
But like I said, you can still find a used Savage for cheap if you look in the right places.
I suggest a Savage over the revos and Tmaxs because I have owned them all.
Out of all my monster trucks it is by far my favorite for many reasons.
While the revo and tmax is better hole shot trucks, they break like twigs in comparison. The savage never lets me down, and its ease of maintainability is stellar over them. Traxxas don't have a good design with the flat pan chassis. Its light and fast, but not a monster truck in design IMO.
The Savage line is much cooler looking when you think Monster truck, and definatley out performs the traxxas trucks when it comes to climbing, pulling and pure out bruteness.
