ion bolt

Hey guys Has anyone try putting an ion bolt in a lathe and removing wieght from the inside on the bolt.

yea.... it's been done as well as taking some weight off of the outside as well. It used to be the thing to do before all these aftermarket bolts came out

Taking the all the time to lighten stock bolt is pointless to me unless they would take the time to cut an extra groove for a second tail oring.

i agree with opening it is pointless i lightened my l7 for ****s and giggles and i see a tiny tiny increase in performance.... but thats with a l7.... i'd imagine the stock would be a different story but what you can get bolts for now-a-days theres no point for it...

That they've lightened bolt before without the groove or that they've done the second groove?



The second groove has been done by a lot of people. Ydna used to to it for a fee to firebolts and such
