Just got My Omen

and damn is it sweet...i let it charge for about 10 minutes and just started clicking like mad on the trigger. i had 2 friends there, and they thought it was awesome too. although i was wondering, how do you take the ASA off? i can't figure it out

and how do you properly adjust the trigger

also, i don't think my On/Off works, it doesn't seem do do anything when i mess with it. and i can't get the feed tube off either

and there seems to be some sort of screw on thr right side of the
ASA. is this for a gauge?

o. and one more question. do i have to actually send in the warratny card? i was told i didn't have to but i just wanted to confirm

The top screw in the trigger adjusts when it trips the switch. i.e. at the beginning of the travel or at the end. the one in the middle of the trigger adjusts how long it travels.

I have determined that the on/off ASA on the Omen sucks. Plain and simple. I had mine in the off position then screwed in the tank, then turned it on and I got a huge leak out the barrel. Only way to stop it was to turn it off again. So I unscrewed the tank and turned it on, then screwed in the tank, and it works fine.

You want to turn the screw in the middle of the trig clockwise so its down to about a mouse click.

Now comes the pain in the arse part. I still haven't figured out which way to turn the top screw, but play around with it with your gun on. Do maybe 5 turns one way, and if nothing, start going the other way. Having a short travel makes a smaller window though, and if you turn it too much, you'll pass right by where it will catch the switch.

Hope you understand that. It's not as confusing as I probably made it sound. Just do a bunch of short turns one way, if it doesnt click, go the other way.

I find that it's easier to walk with the click at about 1mm and 3-4mm of travel, but for snap shooting what i'd play on the field it's at a mouse click if not less.

PS> I spent about an hour today messing w/ my trigger. I had it set nicely, yesterday, but I tried to fine tune it some more and I completely messed up the top screw. Took me like an hour just to get it back how I had it. That top screw is the devil when it comes to short pulls.

why wont it go back in? make sure the hammer and bolt is straight. than lift the manual sear release switch so they can slide in.

Yeah, i don't think anyone got the right sized allen wrenchs. Luckily I had some laying around that I used.

So far, that's the only thing I dislike about it.

lol why did you take out the internals?!?!

Well I thought my asa sucked as well, it was soo hard to turn..untill I lubed it... Just take the adjusting nob off and take the on/off piston out, lube it up really good then stick it back in, working it back and forth....it will be alot better after that.

my on-off worked great. it had no leaks or any difficulty turning it on or off. as for the feed tube, i have to use vice grips to take it off. it scratched the side a little bit but it came off. had a bit of loctite on it.

Will the New Designs Low Rise fit on the Omen? I know that the Omen takes impy/bushy feed tube threads, but I read somewhere that it's sort of a hit and miss type thing.

I don't like the check-it clamping no-rise because from the pics, it seems like it would bring it down too low for my comfort. Unless I kept the neck on the egg2 a little longer but that would kind of defeat the purpose.

yea, those should fit. i things no rises are the ones that don't fit.

also, i think my on off is working...won't be sure till i get nitro, cuz i'm gonna be running my 16oz on remote for a while

btw, will running my co2 tank just on a remote damage my Omen?

dont use an anti siphon c02 with the remote or other wise it WILL siphon the liquid c02 and you could wreck your o rings and you will be very agry and most likely kill yourself or someone else

Haha, believe it or not, a kid bought my spyder b/c it has alot of kick (he wanted a marker that shot like a real gun) so I told him he should buy my spyder, heavy, slow, lotsa recoil...

spyders have lots of recoil? now i've heard everything

my A-5 has more recoil than a spyder...and that's still not a lot

A properly setup spyder wont have alot of kick, but that involves new aftermarket parts (a spyder's not worth upgrading in my opinion), and mine was a bone stock Shutter apart from sticky grips and an SP barrel... too much kick compared to other guns in my opinion
